this is also the only rock song they play in the game and its in the beginning. the rest are mainly piano, vocals, and guitar. i highly suggest that you play it, i love this game!

The first X game opened with a Grindcore Metal song, the second one opens with a Pop song. Pretty much the makers went from kick ass to just plain sad.

haha yeah i agree to a certain extent. because of the events building up in the beginning of ffx, there was no previous knowlegde of what was going on and therefore more was going on and it was boyish. but at the beginning of ffx2, you already knew who most of the characters were and it was more girlish. there were also different makers of the game.

but i really liked the action-y part of ffx (probably cause im more of a rock person than a pop person)

Yes i must agree with you on that one, and wouldn't you agree that final fantasy x-2 was a general rule breaker in squaresoft's game industry, never before had they done a sequal to a final fantasy game, and look how it came out. personally not my favorite.
