you do know that owning a nokia N8 doesn't mean you can just have this app don't you? It's not even an app. This is something that a team of very clever tech hacker people have invented. It uses riser pads that measure pressure and have gyroscopes inside, then the information is sent to his phone. YOU CAN'T BUY THIS!!

Danny Brady is a genius at skating, but technology like this is just shit, unless you place value in having a phone telling you how 'good' you are. Everyone who takes skating seriously wouldn't do anything like this, but I suppose that the true invention that WOULD be useful to all skaters at all levels would be a SKATE program, which logs the skaters involved and keeps track of the letters people have. Other than that, scoring doesn't belong in skating; X-Games proved that for a fact.

The phone recognizes what's going on around it, in this instance whether the user is doing tricks with their skateboard. (In another video by nokia, they also show a phone attached to the skateboard doing somewhat the same thing, I'm not sure if that was the case here as well as they state they have 5 different PUSH prototypes.)

I hope that answers it. Nokia phones aren't just for right-handed people.

@DoYouReadThis yeah I watched a more detailed preview of this thing - a chip is atached to a board that how it recognizes a trick. sounds expensive for an app that probably won't be able to tell the difference between a varial heel and a fs 180 hel :D

@Toto77777 That's the thing though, I'm fairly sure it is a possibility, it can recognize the x,y,z axis movements of the chip attached to the board, and from there recognize how the board moved. I'm sure it would have to be calibrated or so, but still very possible.
