Usually the beetle is killed off in winter, but climate change is letting the beetle stretch down from Canada to the US, affecting Millions of Acres of forest.

wow, that is an extremely short sighted point of view when the Greenland Ice Sheet is melting at an enormous rate, drought is becoming commonplace across the world, and the entire canadian boreal forest is being ravaged by a warm-weather fueled pine beatle. Also, the Alaskan Permafrost is melting, which is releasing a frightening amount of methane NOW.

All the worst projections of the IPCC are coming true now! Attacking science is a pathetic distraction when the future is at stake.

we spew 30 blillion tons of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere each year, multiply that over several decades...that affects the climate of the planet, and we are seeing the affects now, in melting ice caps and desertification....and that's only 1 degree of climate change, if we ever reached 4-6, human civilization is done, and we must act NOW!
