@pwnzz ya it does u connect it to the ps3 then u go to the accessory settings choose manage audio device then u scroll threw them till u find one that says USB device. Do it for both then play and pwn those noobs
Just an update on these headphones, I've found that if you have a Soundblaster X-Fi soundcard you will get better virtual 3D sound effects by plugging the headphones straight into the soundcard (Not using the supplied USB adapter). The X-Fi cards use their own technology to simulate surround audio over any headphones.
the usb sound card is horrid. If your someone who doesn't like having your ears feel "covered" than you also wont like these, they really give you no open ear feeling at all, makes your ears feel CLOSED IN and takes a couple weeks to get used to.
I got these a couple of weeks ago, and I love them, granted it's "virtual" surround, but I can definitely hear other player around me. And I find the sound quality very good.
I actually could hear things from behind me. For the simulated surround sound to work you actually have to get used to what things sound like in front of you and behind you. For me know i can instantly tell where all sounds are coming from.
The only difference from these and the 377s is the included soundcard. If you already have a 5.1 or 7.1 soundcard or onboard sound do not get these. The 5.1 is emulated 5.1 which most soundcards emulate. My Realtek onboard does it. You basically are paying $50 for a 10$ usb soundcard and the rest is for a giant plastic case.
Get the 367 or 377 if you have surround emulation on you current soundcards.
Thanks for let us know the suround sound doesn't work which is what I'm looking for the hear if someone is coming from whereever direccion they are coming
There is vitural surrond sound you just have to turn them on there on the usb poor mate convinced people that here isnt any, i might do a review on them myself
I actually have this headset and I can attest that it really doesnt give 5.1 sound. It's a cool headset but I was expecting to really have it sound like 5.1 but its really just stereo
@Nihat007 does this work for the ps3? I mean can you hear the sound from the game? and if you know, are the x95's better? (sorry im a noob in gaming headseats :P)
Thanks for the review. I was considering getting the 777 but instead with the 5.1 Turtle Beach HPA2. Very high quality headset- don't be fooled with the packaging or design. These guys really make top of the line stuff. Only reason 777 is getting so much attention is because of the design and marketing.
Cheers Nihat007. I was going to buy these but your review has made me decide against them. If it doesnt produce 5.1 effectively theres no point tbh lol.
don't decide just because of one person thinks its not surround sound! Many people think the virtual 5.1 is great. I guess it comes down to your ears and comprehension of sound and expectations etc.
I respect his opinion saying he doesn't really think its surround but I would like to know what his OS is and which game he has played?
I've tried many games including, farcry2, crysis, cod:waw, cod4, bioshock, CS:S, Call of Juarez 2, Prototype, Fallout3, Deadspace, Brothers in arms: hells highway....and many more. OS is Windows7 RC1, but i've also tried it on Vista Home Premium and XP Pro machines.
To be exact, yes it does. I have these headphones that's how i ended up at this site..
I just wanted to see if i got good ones. and what other people think about them.
This dude must have ear problems because. If u would listen to your favourite song for instance (like i did to test the dolby) then u would notice the BIG difference.
I like these allot and as a summary the purchase was worth it.
Don't let anybody talk crap to you like this guy. see for yourself.

Can you use this headset for the PS3?
Herro752 1 year ago
i think the most important paart of a headset isn't surround sound but how well the audio quality is.
Is the audio really clear?
ALPHAOfficialUtube 1 year ago
@ALPHAOfficialUtube yes, the audio quality is great, they aren't super bassy, but they make up for with excellent clarity IMO.

i know why you say theres really no surround sound, maybe because you don't have it on.(theres a switch on the side on the adatmter)

Your right, its still a pretty decent headset, and now that i'm over the 5.1 not being there, I'm enjoying them a lot more.
