They will be transported halfway across the globe thawed, cooked and eaten by some one who neither knows their real taste nor how to cook them, just because he can afford the inflated price. These people will never be able to afford the price of their own catch. People who have eaten them for ages and know that the only way to eat them is as fresh as possible. Globalisation is the new and worst device of exploitation that the west has ever forged.
@felice2442 I am talking about the tropics. In temperate western countries the river delta areas are either technological ports or have no marine life left, since it has been completely destroyed through pollution since the industrial revolution. They have to find their fish only in deeper waters in the sea.

@POMPIT13 you may use teaseed powder. The general dosage is 1kg per 15m2 of pond area, for a water depth of 1m. Teaseed cake in powder form is first soaked in water until dissolved, and this water is then evenly spread into the pond. Quantity/Water depth:
10,000 / 15m2 = 666.67 kg/ha with 3 feet water in pond.
222 kg/ha with 1 foot water
444 kg/ha with 2 feet water
111.1 kg/ha with 6 inches maximum water in the pond.
good luck! by the way, teaseed kills only fishes, not shrimp.
@POMPIT13 manong huwag na po kayo mag lason ..hindi po maganda sa pag farming.hindi naman po talaga kailangan mag poison..sipag lang po kailangan ..mabuhay po kayo..
All you can eat Antibiotics. Farmed shrimp carry many maladies, black splinter disease, brown gills, white spot virus and sky- blue discoloration have all wiped out Asian shrimp crops at one time or another, and a disease called colita roja, or little red tail plagues the LATIN american industry. Were it not for the heavy and frequent use of chemicals shrimp would not survive a single season in overcrowded, artifical setting of an aquaculture pond. It's a filthy disgusting industry.
yes, i think i'm gonna oppose farm raised shrimp and support wild shrimp, because farm raised shrimp are full of chemicals, like american livestocks. most of america's meats are full of antibiotics, steroids, and growth hormones. they are not free ranged, they are in cramp quarters, being fed nothing but grains and soy. i prefer organic meats and seafoods, over the conventional kind, in the supermarket.
IN THE USA and Europe farmers wear gloves? YES,wear boots ? yes ,they also smell like shit!~!!! hahahaha

felice2442 5 months ago
@felice2442 The best tasting fish and sea food is that which lives in brackish water in river delta tributaries and not from the sea.
RonAlmeida 2 months ago
@RonAlmeida This may not apply in the tropics. i grew up by the sea-side and i
knew what is it like .. Thank you for your information.
