If the LCD screen panel is cracked, you can actually purchase a new panel for it either through Apple or through a wholesale warehouse for a cheaper price. Installing the new Lcd screen panel can be quite simple to do. However, sometimes the flat panel may cost more than the entire monitor itself.. Spending money on something your not sure of what problems it has is a gamble
