@tahuaroa dk specifically how it came to be, but the ps 22 chorus from staten island (part of the nyc public education system) is famous with celebrities cuz the director has taken a unique a approach to teaching music to kids, using popular music and giving each child a chance to shine. at a time when the arts are being cut because of budget issues and standardized tests. i believe he reached out to some famous people a few years back and it just snowballed.

Usually the artists who come to PS 22 stand out from the chorus because their way of moving is something they worked on, whereas the kids are, well kids: having fun and puting their heart in the song and coming up with the most natural moves ever.

Here Kylie seems to BE part of the kids, it's just amazing.
