Pff. First vid a definite fake. No artilleryman, not even a recruit, stands behind the breech of a piece like that. Breeches recoil with enough force to kill, and that's one of the first things you're taught when under instruction: Stand clear of the Breech!

And the instructor is stood right next to the weapon without even checking what the crew are doing. He'd be stood well behind the crew in reality.

My Grandfather fought in WW2 in Malaya. One of his friends was a gunner. In a fight near Kota Baharu, repelling a tank attack, the breech of the 2 pounder he crewed recoiled into his shoulder. He lost the use of his arm.
