First first Jak and Daxter, a great sounding game that.
You probley get this question alot, but what kind of setup do you use that allows you to record games so well without interlacing and (I assume) play on you TV?
You need stereo splitter wires (the ones witht he same connection as the AV wires of a game system) so you can play the game on the TV, and capture video at the same time. Even if the screen in the software was large enough for you to play comfortably, there is a delay making it impossible to play a game.
However, you could also just record yourself playing a game on a VCR, and then capture your pre-recorded footage. That's another way to do it.
Cool, didn't know Socom featured the M14. One of my favorite firearms (In games, that is).
Guess I need to get back to playing that then, I just found the controls so clumsy last time I played it (Zoom feature on the D-pad IIRC, and clunky squad commanding interface), and the complete lack of checkpoints in missions was a bit annoying.
Only played to the second mission before I quit. Shame on me. ;D
Jak & Daxter, excellent stuff. The second and third are good, but... that original...
That being said, The Lost Frontier looks like it could recapture some of this game's magic.
Hey 2D, would you mind if I added you to my PS3 friends list? I subscribe to you here, and I just started following your Blogspot, so I figure why not?
I like SOCOM series alot for single player missions, challenging & fun. I've never beaten original SOCOM & I'm at the very last mission. SOCOM 3 the best of the series.
Same here, I think the rainbow six series started becoming watered down after they took out the mission planning feature. I've heard rumors of it being in the next R6 game though.
Yep. This gen has nearly been devoid of quality TFPS. RS: Vegas is too ataered down, so that only leaves GRAW that retains any feel of a TFPS in the single player (Socom CA is good, but online only).
However, Operation Flashpoint: DR has my attention for sure. It's really slim pickings for tactical shooter buffs this console gen.

I use a dazzle capture card. I got the more expensive one that comes with the version pinnacle studio that allows me to use Mpeg 4.

Interesting. My dad has one of those for digitizing his VHS tapes. I didn't relise you could play the game on a TV at the same time though.

Sure. Go ahead and add me if you want to, but I warn you, I'm not the greatest online friend. I tend to be a loaner.
teh2Dgamer 2 years ago
That's fine. It's just hard to find people worthy to add to your Friends List, but you, you're different. I like the way you think.
Look for an invite from SM-Snake (my PSN)

hey 2D do you play rainbow six 3 online because every time I try to find a game no one plays anymore or did they shut down the servers
FUNTAGEizGOW 2 years ago
Th servers are still up. At least the American server is still up. There's just no one playing when I've checked.
