I'm a MTF and I have been passable for years. The one thing I notice about Black FTM, they have a hard time emulating the hood boy image because the masculinity is so THICK in the Black subculture. Usually, FTM images come across as a GAY boy or a boy who is a little bit fem. Usually, Black FTM sabotage themselves by having Monroe's, lip piercings, chin piercings, tongue piercings, lots lipgloss, multiple ear piercings. All these things are considered VERY GAY by Black masculine standards.

me & my lesbian best friend/wifey have noticed that black stealth butches can easily be read as male, without hormones or anything. it really sucks for white females, our faces are a lot more distinct in comparison with caucasian men. there's like such a vast difference between sexes in our culture. sometimes it DOES mean we have to try harder. but i'll never do stupid shit like apply theatrical facial hair. i do bind though, & plan to start packing when i can afford a soft stuffer/s.t.p. device
