  • Heh, I find this pretty interesting, considering my whole family is from New York but me! So they all have accents but none of them notice. I'm always nagging my mom that she says are-ange rather than ore-ange

  • Ass.

  • you should chuck a scotish and a south african guy in that would be jokes!!

  • Say...boring...seriously dudes...ya'll basically all sound the same

  • @treestar i honestly thought there would be more differences

  • I don't know...I live in Brooklyn and she doesnt have an accent.. she just says words differently then most Brooklynites.

  • @Tystarr2k2 i'm not from brooklyn. i'm from south florida

  • @chescaleigh I know you are, I was referring to the other woman in the video. Sorry for the confusion.

  • @Tystarr2k2 ha! woops!

  • My friend says milk like with an e like Melk. Haha.

  • normally i just watch the dreadvids from you, because im from germany and we dont have that much female dreadheads over here ;)

surely i got a strong german accent ... but you sound mostly the same to me :)

    him/me

    caramel-carmel

    pecan

    both-bofe

    toilet-torlit

new orleans-neworlins(its like one big syllable/word)

  • That dude was funny!

  • haha, loved the coupon and the caramel. (:

all my friends say it like "car-mel".. I'm one of the one's who pronounces it like "care-a-mel" There is an A in there! :D

  • @hope518 Yeah, I'm from Jersey too.

  • Haha my roommate says milk "mehlk" and pillows "pehllows" lol

  • @bjfurlow i think it was just a poor choice of words. carswani, ayana and i all have different accents, but i don't think this list really showed it.

  • u sissy niger,noone can hear u clearly

  • pecon....oooo your one of those..lol hahaha fag! jk

  • You never heard people say "Meelk"? I can't stand it.

  • @VaultCult My boyfriends aunt pronounces it as "milnk". It's crazy sounding. She also says "Ty-len-oil". >:P

  • its Nuh vaaaaah duh not nu vah duh the "a" is suppose to be like the "a" in "yack"

  • @frenchie7024 THANK YOU! Okay so I live in Nevada, and just let me tell you never go to the state and say Nevahda...think of it like how you pronounce Canada, it is the same concept!

  • Yo Chesca hook me up with dude's digits.

  • HAAAA! you're hilarious. look him up on youtube and let him know you're interested!

  • hey! do a follow up!. with different caribbean accents (like barbados, ST. LUCIAN (me...lol) and trinidad) vs american ones. :D

    just a suggestion.

lemme kno if you want help with the lucian one. :D

  • ok... I take that back... I realise I'm LATE. I'll just send in a reply :D

  • aha awhh how you gonn put trinis last :[

  • twilet ! XD

  • my stepdad says drawer like "dwar"

    so irritating.

  • wow IGNORANT

  • Daughter (from upstate NY) moved to VA beach for awhile--the other people where she worked always asked her to say "cawfee" & then laughed at her "NY accent".

  • wow such a cute couple....yah everybody say the words different

  • aww his accent is soo cute lol i will be moving to ma for college i can listen to that accnt all day.

  • some ppl say milk like "melk" ..i know a girl who does

  • Comment removed

  • I say CAH-RIB-BEAN. everyone else seems to say CAH-RIB-BEE-AHN. other than that i think i say everything else the same. might do a vid when my webcam gets fixed

  • Caribbean ppl tend to lean toward

    Carib-BEAN

  • lol that was hilarious, unfortunately i'm English so ignorantly perhaps, every American accent sounds the same to me!

  • lol i agree

  • sweetcherrycrumble: Haha, I never thought about the fact that people in Europe might not be bale to tell the different American accents apart from each other. That's so odd to me, hehe. It works the same with a lot of us Americans with different European accents as well.

P.S. Love your username. It makes me hungry. xoxo, Carswani.

  • haha thanks - i love yours too - it implies serious business! x

  • This was was SOOOOO fun to watch! I would like to do a response, can you plz email me a list of words, I dont want to listen to yu and be tainted by your accents. OOOPPSS~ I just saw the list in side bar. ahahha. If I wasnt sick I would do a video response today.

Anywhoo... I would love to participate in this. I might have to do it a little bit differently bcz my NY accent is so bad! I might have to give away an NYC T-shirt just for ppl having to listen to me! haha

    Tko

    THanks for the laugh

  • yeeeah! do a response! i hope you start feeling better! talk to you soon!

  • Hey Tonyaa! :)

    get better soon!

  • I LOOOOVE morethanablog now that i found out he's from boston!

  • WHAT!? you didn't love him before you knew he was from boston?! Whaaaaaaa?!

  • I've never heard of him before. I'll check him out :)

  • now, the "root" you are saying. Is it spelled route or root? Some pronounce them the same way, those from long island (like myself), do not :)

  • root

  • Paark the caar!

  • You guys said "Nevada" weird. I've never heard anyone pronounce it like that before.

  • Somebody break out with a Boston accent then it will be really funny.

  • c0c0puffz: Uhhhh, I'm in this video (the guy) and I have a Boston accent. Lol.

  • Sorry your Boston accent wasn't thick enough for me to notice. lol

  • c0c0puffz: Depending on the mood I have or whatever it can get stronger. If you really want to hear it, catch me angry or really excited. I have a video on my channel called "BITCH! Where's My Money?!" You can hear it there, lol.

  • Somebody gotta make a vid for the baldamore (baltimore) accents! Cuz we have a unique way of saying things...I may do it...my camera skills suck ass though! Great vid!

  • Are you guys reading the word or repeating the word after the 1st person speaks cause I think it makes a difference. Cool idea though.

  • Hmm...most of these words don't have many variants. I'd say you should test:

    Oregon

    Squirrel

    Often

    Aunt

    Weather

    Orange

  • LMAO

sometimes my mom says "merk"....i get her to say it a million times before she catches on so can get a good laugh

  • I don't say ca-rribean, I say carrib-eeeeean. I live in atlanta, ga, but my whole family's from buffalo, ny. Which city says it like that? I don't remember!! **And do you say pop, soda, or drink?**

  • I pronounce it milk, but I've heard people pronounce it like "melk" and it makes me cry.

  • Chesca I though that was your boyfriend for a second, lol. I am like what happened to Patrick, lol. Nice video though.

  • HAAAA!!!! that's hillarious. nooo carswani is not my boyfriend. just my good youtube buddy

  • Oh Ok. Don't be a naughty girl Chesca, lol. Just kidding, lol.

  • car=cah whatever=whadever=whadeva ...hehe interesting vid! (^O ^)

  • are you from boston?

  • Rockford, IL (^__^) lol

  • I think this is weird. . . or maybe not. . . but I really like that guys smile. Esp @ 2:15. I don't know why. He just looks good there? lol.

Oh, yea and funny vid btw. :) haaa

  • nothing weird about that. i think carswani has a great smile

  • I've heard people say "Melk" instead of "Milk" lol.

  • This was interesting. Yanaboo has a totally diffrent accent from me and we are both from LI, NY. I wonder where she's from maybe upstate or something. Ches you don't sound like you are from florida at all you sound like you are from the north and morethanablog sounds like he's from down south somewhere.

  • what do floridans normally sound like? i've lived in florida my entire life and most of my friends sound exactly like me! it's funny, whenever i'm on the phone with one friend we end up marveling at how much we sound like our other friends. it's weird

  • Well you wouldn't notice it because you live there. To me most people from florida have more of a southern accent, you don't have that. But, I don't know anyone for west palm beach, the people I know are from miami or orlando.

  • good call. well, everyone in west palm beach that i know has a valley girl accent. haa! i lived in miami for 6 years and most of the people had a mixture of accents or they were hispanic and had the typical "chonga" accent. haa

  • I'm embarrassed to say I've never hear do a chonga before I had to look it up lol. We have a bunch of them in ny lol.

  • i'm from westchester county of new york. near yonkers

  • I knew it. Upstate accents are so different. I love this tag :)

  • chescaleigh: Omg, I had to look up 'chonga.' LMAO @ the #1 definition on urbandictionary!

  • I'm pretty sure sickphil71 is joking.

  • yeah, i'm pretty sure he is too

  • as was I

  • Chesca, I didn't recognize you with your hair up. It looks very cute. What soda...I say pop...and I have some cuzins in LA that can't say stretch or straight or children. They say sqretch and chilrun.

  • aw thanks!

i hate when people say pop! i have family in south carolina and they call everything coke. no matter what brand it is they say, "i really need a coke" and then they pick up a root beer. it's so weird. chilrun? SMH...

  • Yup LOL sounds about right. and they usually say "sumbody git dem chillen or churn/chern" A lot of people especially my mom just sounds like they are from the islands. I love the accent now but I lost a lot of it because I worked hard as hell to kill it in high school and have been overseas for a while LOL.

  • I'M TELLING PATRICK!!!!! ...... No, I'm not....

  • haaaa! go ahead! he was home!

  • OOOoooo.... Didn't know you were that kind of girl ;-)

    LMAO!!!

  • first off sickphil74's comment is very ignorant...

neways i have a friend that says mel-k... it bothers me and i cant keep myself from making fun of her every time she says it.

how do you say radiator?? i know this is wrong but sometimes i say rad-iator instead of the normal way. also the word awkward. i sometimes say it like true new yorker (well i am a true new yorker but i dont always talk like one lol) i say awe-k-ward instead of ahh-k-ward (if that made sense) lol!!

    BTW, ur great!

  • i'm pretty sure sickphil is joking. he has an odd sense of humor, but he's always giving me a hard time and poking fun at people who actually say ignorant things like that. sadly, sarcasm is completely lost over the internet. but thanks for looking out of me, that's sweet of you :)

    melk? that's so strange

    i saw aaahkward and raid-e-a-tor

  • i was being sarcastic too lol...i need to put sarcasm in quotes next time

  • Oh, shit, I can't believe that these mental lepers felt the need to run to your defense. It's like watching the comic relief sidekick jump into the fray because they think the hero is injured. Way to do your research, all you drooling vegetables. Chesca is more than capable of defending herself.

BTW, thanks for taking the comment in the spirit in which it was intended.

  • omg?? am i the only one who says route like "out" with an r?

  • No.

    That's how I pronounce it.

    -B

  • I love this video!! We need to make more soon, lmao. I could watch us all day!
