Damon Albarn is literally my favorite singer-songwriter in the world. He's one of the few artists who could do anything and I'm convinced I'd love it.

This song reminds me a bit of my dad, who smokes and stuff. Yeah, I got daddy issues. The folks of Blur would probably like it if it touches someone like that.
I read it in an interview a while ago, possibly in Uncut or Mojo magazine- tbh the song is purposely meant to be cryptic, only Albarn really knows what it's about, if it is, in fact, about anything.
Noel and Damon get on with each other since now, haha so shut the fuck up about comparing themselves, I love them both

To jump in on the song lyrics debate rather late, I have a friend who thinks it's about some weird masturbation, because of the second verse....

I dont thin you can say that this song is about AIDS just by one line of the lyrics.
After all, the opening line is "I met a man who had no lung" so that doesn't mean this song is about ling cancer.
