I love BMW. In some ways this M1's overall shape looks awesome. I can't put my finger on it, but it looks... untidy, ie. some of the body gaps seem too large for my taste. I love the colors, they go well together, but there seems to be too much black. Rims? Not bad, but those dont seem to offer much ventilation to cool the brakes. I know, overly critical. Overall I like it, but keep in mind its just my opinion.

The bmw M1 was made in the 1980's but only for track use and other testing. Only a handful were sold. BUT at the recent Villa Se Este car show BMW showed the M1 concept meaning the car may be put into producton again. Its the return of an amazing car if they do.

this car is based on a design back in 1976 by giorgetto giugiaro from italdesign. so, it makes sense that it looks like a lamborghini, because bmw comissioned giugiaro to design the M1. giugiaro made designs for lamborghini as well as other major automotive companies.

beauty is, of course, in the eye of the beholder but I think you're wrong about the styling. This is the first BMW in the Bangle era that is absolutely gorgeous and actually looks lust-worthy. I love the grille and the line from the h-kink back. I agree with GQ guy that the wheels are not great looking but I understand that's the "homage" part. This car looks amazing and they must build it. BTW, you "like' the roof but it only rates a 2/10? I think your meter needs re-calibrating
