Whilst I do admire Otep and the music very much, and think she's a very talented lyricist and vocalist, some of the liberal clichés really make me cringe, even if it is often for a good cause; it just reeks of "Hollywood liberalism", if you see what I mean. Now I'm not criticising her intellect, I think she's very smart, and as such I think she's better than resorting to layman political thought. I much prefer her songs about personal issues (drugs, sexual abuse, depression etc.)
