  • Basketball is my favorite Hobby, but I have a different diet than Michael's though...I have 2 eggs everyday in the morning with my pancakes and a piece of fruit, and a good meal for lunch and Dinner...been doing this for 10 years now, and I don't care what people say about eggs having too much cholesterol cuz I know the health benefits of eggs...It's brainfood. Exercise makes up for it anyway and lowers Cholesterol...no worries.

You need other things as well, but there's something critical about those foods. I think HALF of any athletic performance is diet. It's that important, and it's not as simple as buying health food. Health food is largely less calories marketed at higher prices. George Foreman said cheeseburgers were the secret to his career.

Adding a liter of water to the Pacific Ocean won't make any difference, it'll still be the largest Ocean out there :P

    i went to jordans house one day over the summer. i weighed 450 lbs. he took a leak in the toilet and forgot to flush. i capitalized on his mistake and gulped down 2 full cups of urine and fecal matter. i am now 190 lbs of pure muscle and will enlist in the nba draft next year.   • a lot of ppl put up a whole bunch plans, like workout routine and meal plan to train their body. but they still are n't fit. the key is to find something suits you. fitness is not complicated at all. sometimes, keep it simple and fun is most effective way rather than over complexion.

  • um actually as an active athelete you want alotta carbs and sugars.

  • But not when your are not consuming Protein with it! Its not only about what you eat its when you eat it! You need protein and fat with carbs so that the protein can be digested( the fat helps with that) and the carbs don't give you a huge spike in insulin, then resulting in a fatigued state afterwards. Fat and protein help break down the carbs slowly so that doesn't happen. And no athelete consumes processed foods like cereal and pancakes to get there carbs. They consume fruits!

  • Its all when you eat them. On training days you can eat them alot more then when your jsut sitting around for the day. Eat most of your carbs at breafast, then lunch then the least amount at dinner. Unless you workout and your dinner is your postworkout meal then you want alot of carbs to replace the stores of glycogen you just used up. If you constantly eating every two hours and you eat mostly whole foods, fruits,veggies, non-processed meat. Your body will have no reason to store fat

  • I can't really think In my head what 6 servings is, but I'd say thats ok. If you workout after school then make sure your packing a good lunch, dont eat at the cafe. And after your workout eat as soon as possilbe. Generally I have a protein shake and maybe some fruit or something to fill me up a bit. Then when supper rolls around I try to eat some source of protein, steak, chicken beans, and limit my carbs by eating vegetables with it.

  • continued...generally when you gain fat it is people who skip breakfast, eat shitty foods, and don't eat frequently enough!And when they do eat they eat at mcdonalds etc. Crap food. When you do these and go without food for hours (skipping breakfast) your body think your starving it because it hasn't seen food for hours. So when you do eat, it stores alot as fat because its afraid its gonna go hours without food again. So it stores fat to try to have something to run off of. Which doesn't work!

  • i agree with you i read something about that too. 5-6 smaller meals is better than 3 big meals. so what in your opinion should be a good breakfast? and why is cereal and pancakes a terrible breakfast when it has the carbs in it? all you have to do is have a quality protein source to add to it.

  • Both are just full of preservatives and sugars. You are right, you want alot of carbs, and adding Protein is exactly what you need. Should be about a 2:1 ratio of carbs to protein. Anything that comes out of a box is generally not very healthy for you, like cereal. Not saying a don't eat it myself, rarely, but things like fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs, bacon, are better choices. Fruit gives you the carbs you need, and its not artificial.
