@nitotech explain 7:05??? and what about shaq steppin over the line on every free throw he shoot like 20 free throws and miss just like 2.. and they never waived off a baskett so tell me how this game wasn't fixed????and i got alot more to say if u wanna keep this goin.. i remember this series like it was yesterday... but i will say if they would of just throw the ball in the air at the end of game 4 this would not of mattered...but this series was fixed no question about it....
I also find it funny how the Kings players and owners do not feel this game was fixed....yet a bunch of moronic, know nothing fans do....figure that one out
That 6th foul on Vlade was a ticky tack foul, the real foul was on Webber. Would you want him or Vlade fouled out?? your pick.....maybe the refs did Sac a favor here.
I love how there is 4 min in the game left...Vlade and Pollard have not fouled out yet.....how is this game fixed again???? If it was fixed don't you think that they would have been long gone already and in no position to win???? You people think the refs could have timed it so well??? Give me a break. You people are nuts
@Element141414 you can have your opinion but don't be a closed minded fool and think everyone was out to get the Kings, that is just BS. Kings lost. Fact.
@RyZombie619 I don't think everyone was out to get the Kings. I blame Tim Donaghy and David Stern, as many other people do, as well. And the Kings only lost because the Lakers were majorly favored. I've heard many Lakers fans, on the Internet, say this game was fixed, and how it was unfair to the Kings and their fans. No BS, there.
@Element141414 Donaghy??? He wasn't even there!!! What the fuck? Many Laker fans?? What like three?? Sorry, the majority don't believe in a fix. You have to do better than using the Kobe elbow, the FT's (because Kings shot way more FT's in 3 games than the Lakers did, THREE WHOLE GAMES the Kings shot 10 or more FT's than the Lakers so shut the fuck up about the FT's, it is bull shit and it means nothing. If the refs were trying to screw the Kings they wouldnt have had them down by 3 with 2 to go
@RyZombie619 Donaghy told the refs, officiating Game 6, to force a Game 7 no matter what, explaining all of the foul calls on Sacramento. And I'm not justs aying the Kobe elbow and FT's: I'm mentioning all of the fouls, and how Donaghy set the whole thing up.
@Element141414 oh wow....you are nuts pal. So every single call was planned by the refs in order to make the Kings lose.....is that what you are telling me??? You are a loon. Is the New World Order apart of this fix too? It was a game that was poorly officiated....if it was fixed the Kings never would have had a chance. How many times do I have to mention the Kings shooting 20 more FT's than the Lakers in game 5 to win by a point, or the Kings shooting only 41% in this game from the field..???
@Element141414 do any of these things mean anything to you???? my god. You are fucking ignorant man....you listen to what you want and that is that. If it was a fix they sure did a DAMN good job at hiding it. If the refs were trying to get the Lakers to win, they wouldnt have called a bunch of shit on the Lakers towards the end, they would have let EVERYTHING go. They wouldnt have allowed the Kings to be so close. Come on man, think logically, not unrealistically which is what you are doing.
@Element141414 right, but how do the calls only benefit the Lakers? Kobe's elbow is one example....and they did not even call a foul on Bibby, so what is there to complain about?? As I've said numerous times, but no one seems to listen, CHRIS WEBBER SHOULD HAVE FOULED OUT OF THE GAME, but the refs let him stay....that did not benefit the Lakers at all. Bibby, Turkoglu, Funderburke, Webber, all went to the line in the closing moments of the 4th....how does that benefit the Lakers?
@RyZombie619 Not ALL of the calls benefit the Lakers. And, it doesn't matter that Webber didn't foul out. Vlade Divac was playing great D on Shaq, maybe even playing better than him, but and the refs tried to get Vlade in foul trouble very quick, and they did. Divac was the best defender on Shaq in this game. And, the refs got all of the Kings big men in foul trouble, so there was no one left to guard Shaq. Obvious fix.
@Element141414 yes it does, Webber SHOULD have fouled out if the refs were consistent on what a foul is. Vlade was playing good D, that being said, he still couldn't handle him. Vlade committed some easy dumb fouls, he deserved to foul out. I don't agree with your logic. All the big men got in foul trouble BECAUSE THEY WERE GUARDING SHAQ. If it was a fix why wouldn't Bibby have fouled out? Or Webber? Or Christie? Or Hedo? Why just the bigs??? There was no reason for it other than they fouled
@RyZombie619 Only the bigs fouled out so there would be no one left to guard Shaq. He was the Lakers main scorer, and by fouling out Sacramento's big men, Shaq would be able to easily score with no one there able to stop him.
@Element141414 yeah but when did they foul out? Divac was in the game up until a few min left in the 4th....he still could not stop Shaq....so it did not really matter anyways. And Divac made some dumb decisions. Like I said, count your blessings the refs were on your side and allowed Webber to stay in the game...he certainly should have fouled out.
@RyZombie619 But with Divac in early fould trouble, he would've had to sit for some of the game, and he had to be more careful about not picking up any more fouls. Same goes for Webber. And no, I'm not gonna count my blessings on the ref, because what happened to Divac, happened to Webber, except he didn't foul out.
@RyZombie619 you seem to not realize that when you're fixing a game like this one was, you can't make it obvious to everyone watching. You have to throw in some calls for the other team so it helps keep down the suspicions of a fix. Its obvious from watching this game that the refs planned on reffing this game fairly as long as the Lakers looked like they were going to win the game. When the 4th quarter came and the Lakers looked like they were going to lose, the refs stepped in.
@asdfjkc see this is what I mean. You have no proof of a fix, why? BECAUSE IT WAS NOT MADE OBVIOUS! So therefore, you just proved my whole point. If it was an obvious fix then everyone would see it, but it was not obvious, so then how the FUCK was it a fix?
@RyZombie619 the proof is in the fact that the Kings were doing the same thing on defense in the first 3 quarters that they did in the 4th quarter, yet all the sudden there was a foul called on every play in the 4th quarter and the lakers shot 27 free throws. There was a drastic change in the way the game was being called once the 4th quarter hit and you cant deny that. Sure I cant prove it was because of a fix, but according to Tim Donaghy's testimony, I'm right.
@asdfjkc ok first off, there was not a foul called EVERY PLAY in the 4th quarter. Secondly, apparently you don't see this (probably because you are a biased Kings fan) but the Kings got calls in the 4th quarter as well. And how is Donaghy a credible source? Convicted felon, dishonest, since when is he trustworthy? Also, he wasn't even officiating the game, so how can you use him as proof? His testimony is meaningless.
@asdfjkc According to OJ' testimony, he didn't kill his wife, did you believe that? Since when is a convicted felon a reliable source? Oh because he said something you WANTED to hear? Sorry, that is not the way it works. 10 bucks says if he had said the game wasn't fixed you wouldn't believe him.
@RyZombie619 I am not a Kings fan. I'm born and raised in Minnesota so i have no ties to either team. I'm just an NBA fan with an outside, unbiased perspective. You on the other hand are a loyal Lakers fan, so of course you are going to defend the integrity of your teams championship.
@RyZombie619 Also, your comparison to OJ Simpson is totally irrelevant and has no ties to Tim Donaghy's situation. OJ's testimony was trying to prove his own innocence about charges against him. Tim Donaghy was already found guilty and he was providing information about events that he himself was not charged with. He had no reason to lie about it because he himself was already found guilty. Just because he wasnt reffing those games, doesn't mean he wouldnt have the down low on them
@asdfjkc he had no reason to lie? course he did. he wanted attention ,he wanted publicity, notice he put a book out, he got a good deal out of all that don't you think? slammed his boss while he was going to jail, made a mess of things, got famous, sure he had a reason to lie. Chances of him knowing exactly what happened at the game is slim considering he was not reffing it. Don;t be so caught in conspiracy theories, it makes you look like a loon. I am a Laker fan but I am able to admit when
@asdfjkc my team fails. I never blame the refs for anything. I could have blamed the refs for the 08 NBA finals, could have blamed them for the 2011 playoffs against the MAvs, but I didn't because I know full well officials DON't decide games. Only whiners don;t understand that.
@RyZombie619 Lets just agree to disagree then. We'll probably never know what really happened anyway so theres no point in debating it. All I will say is that you shouldnt call the Kings fans cry babies for whining about the refs. 27 free throws in the 4th quarter of a pivotal game is something that you too would complain about if it were the Kings shooting those free throws, no matter if they were legitimate fouls or not. Your lakers went out and won game 7 at Arco so props there
@RyZombie619 uh yeah dude..the refs did not benefit the mavs in the 2011 playoffs at all. if anything they were agaisnt them...they called so much ticky tack shit on chandler that he could barley play in the first 2 rounds.
@Element141414 the problem with you and a bunch of other Kings fans is that you want to see something that is not there. Did the Lakers shoot a lot of FT's? Sure. Did the Kings? Damn right they did, they also missed a ton of them. You also don't take into consideration that 6 or 7 fouls were intentional, the Kings want the Lakers to go to the line there. You also don't realize that not every call was a bad call...and the Kings shot 41% from the field, that is bad ok? You cant beat LA that way
Yeah, there were some bad calls against both teams--they couldn't make it TOO obvious that the fix was on! However, when even Bill Walton (who was as biased towards the Lakers as a commentator could get) and company admit that a call was bad, you have to wonder if they were also suspecting that something was up!
I can bet you that when the Lakers won game 7, many of the players felt that they did not deserve to win receive that trophy. They were not oblivious or ignorant to the non sensencical and erroneous calls made. If it were not for Robert Horry and the refs, Arco Arena would have imploded in Game 5
@schitaco Um, dude, there were some pretty shitty calls against the Lakers in this game ya know. I suggest you go to 82games.com & read the blog entry about this game under Commentary.
2:56, WHERES THE CALL THERE???? one of them was going to be fouled out, it should have been Webber. Kings fans, would you rather have had Webber foul out? I think not. Quit complaining it was a foul. If you cant accept that what can you accept as a foul? Anything the Lakers do is a foul but the Kings are perfect?
2:29, ok, that was a lame call to go out on, but he still jumped ontop of horry, what is horry? divacs trampoline? you cant just fall ontop of someone and expect to not get called for it. I've seen a lot worse calls that fouled people out.
at 1:05, ummmm, i dont see the complaint....Webber did that earlier to a much more severe degree and got away with it, are they just going to let him keep knocking people over and not call anything?
Anybody that has a brain know that Sacramento was supposed to win Gm 6 by double digits. The refs could not handle seeing the kings beat the lakers at staples.
@toofresh91 no see people that dont have brains think that way, way to go pal, way to go. Divac committed fouls, Pollard committed fouls, they rightfully fouled out. If you dispute that you need help because you dont have the faintest idea of what a foul is. This gamewas not fixed, I expected to see a bunch of awful calls and the Lakers not being touched and getting calls for them and I am seeing none of that. I am seeing the Kings getting bailed out by the refs and then when they commit a foul
@RyZombie619 Whoa where are you going. Divac's 6th foul happened by a tip of his pinky. most people wont agree with you. even some lakers fans admit sacramento deserved the win. How do you justify Bibby getting ran over by Bryant in the final seconds of game six. Why did the refs allow Bryant to shoot free throws while Bibby had a bloody nose.
@toofresh91 well when I get there, I will let you know, but the biggest complaints are that Divac and Pollard fouled out. Well, they deserved to. How can you say Divac's sixth foul was by the tip of his pinky? he fell on top of Robert Horry! You cant just fall on people. Also, Horry fell because of Webber fouling him in the first place and there was no call, so in all honesty, WEbber should have been the one to foul out, would you prefer that?
@toofresh91 its fixed? how does that work? Too many times have the kings gotten away with shit in this game, and you expect people to believe that there was a fix because fouls were called on them? give me a break. those fouls were deserved
@toofresh91 well i admit that horry did a little flop there, but Webber did make contact and if you recall (which you probably dont) webber smashed into horry and there was no call
7:20 what the hell is that? a national tv or the kings tv? I can't believe how these guys can be so partials in their job. Christie made a clear foul on bryant. It's a clear foul, I don't know why walton and jones talked so much trash.
@shakaku91211 yeah but webber is better than Divac. Webber should have been eliminated at this point but the refs forgave him. Divac fouled out, because this is not the NFL, you cant jump over a rival.
@shakaku91211 Shaq only went to the line 1 time in gm5 and what?. 27 to 9, that is only a NUMBER, A STATISTIC. Tell me what kings foul is not foul, and what non call lakers foul, is a real foul. Sometimes the numbers reflected the reality, maybe the lakers defended better in this quarter, and the kings defended worst. Maybe the lakers played more agressive and the kings less. In game number 5 the kings had 10 FT more than the lakers , fixed game? not necessarily, they may be more aggressive.
@Salva46 in game 7 sabonis fouled out on made up fouls well his 5th was an offensive foul on shaq. refs ignored goaltendings on the lakers at the end while steve smith was fouled by shaq.
@shakaku91211 Oh come on...the Lakers won that game fair & square. The Blazers CHOKED, they had a 15-point lead & blew it. I swear, you're a Laker hater, aren't you?
@shakaku91211 So is Bavetta a referee who "fixes" games? I highly doubt it. I've seen him in other NBA games & he calls those games fine. Dude, I can't believe you're complaining about a game that happened almost 11 YEARS AGO. I'll have to watch that game again but from what I remember the officiating was fine. Geez you act like the refs are conspiring against the Kings & now the Blazers! Pathetic.
@NBAisfixed2002 This game was NOT FIXED. Why would you believe a convicted felon? There were just some bad calls, that's all. Ever since he said those things people have been crying "FIXED!" at both this game & game 7 of the 2000 WCF between the Lakers and Blazers. Check out this great blog entry about this game: 82games.com/lakerskingsgame6.htm Read that quote from David Stern. It says it all.
@Headbanger82688 on that site he said something like maybe you saw it different. David stern said about game 6 2002 if my memory calls it was not one of the best refreed games. Shots heard around the world said Stern used that as a cop out. David stern didnt want to be asked why his 3 refs wernt disciplined.
@shakaku91211 Well he was being as unbiased as possible & took into consideration those things about basketball he listed such as the first one which read: "Basketball is a very difficult game to officiate." Not everyone's perfect of course, and he clearly states that his review can be easily challenged. I thought it was a great read. And that's pretty much what David Stern said: "You can watch it, you can look at it again, and you could see what we call the correct, incorrect and noncall
@Headbanger82688 You are sheep . Believe the script David stern puts out for you , your already brain washed . People who get brainwashed are 75 % likely to be less intelligent . You highly doubt Dick bevetta fixes games ? Or how about the F.B.I. confirming that Tim donaghy was truthful in all information given up , if he lied he wouldt get sentence reduced by 98% he would of served a much higher sentence .
@2002films You are a dumbass for believing all these conspiracy theories. This happened almost 10 years ago & you're still saying that the Kings REALLY won the NBA Championship that season when the Lakers were just better. I watched this game & felt like there was no fucking fix at all. Just a few bad calls on both teams. Calling me sheep for believing that is stupid cause it's my fucking opinion! Argue all you want, it's not gonna change anything.
@Headbanger82688 well you are right for one thing it wont change anything. The lakers got 27 free throws in the 4th quarter. Former NBA ref Tim Donaghy knew what went behind close doors NBA tells the refs to like a player likes to swing his elbows. He said NBA refs keep players in a game like not to eject star players.
bill walton is a celtic bitch, and steve jones a blazer bitch. What an impartial commentators!!! please they hate the lakers. 1:18 walton said terrible call, what the fuck are you talking about bitch? do you have eyes in your fuckin face? look at webber elbow mothafucka!!
@NBAisfixed2002 Yeah, so what? Horry is not the only player who flops. Vlade Divac is a BIG flopper, hence the nickname Floppy Divac. He tried to draw a foul once in game 7 & he didn't get the call cause Dan Crawford explained that he just fell down or flopped. That was a GREAT call cause he clearly did. Actually, a LOT of NBA players flop to draw fouls. About 8 times out of 10 they will get the call. But in some cases they won't cause the refs know they just flopped.
Ok Chris can't get discouraged by that offensive foul call, he has to stay confident. See this is his whole problem. Dude holds his head down crying, he needs to come back. Game 6 is still within Sac's reach.
@shakaku91211 All 3 comments you responded to me earlier had the word "officiating" in it. Another Kings fan crying about the officials? This is new...
How was this game rigged? The refereeing was poor, but the refs missed some obvious calls on the Kings, what with all the moving screens, flops, offensive fouls etc. The Kings let the refereeing get to them whereas the Lakers just played ball. After every foul call, the Kings were up in arms, being all theatrical. In a playoff game with so much on the line, that is not how you go about your business. It doesn't help that their coach complained a lot too. But to say the game is rigged is absurd.
@shakaku91211 Haha well they committed a lot of fouls too. The refereeing was horrible for both sides. The fact the Kings let it get to them so much is not what a championship team does.
Webber's 5th foul, the charge was b.s. Vlade's 6th foul was a ticky tacky foul at best, and at 7:30 Bill Walton made the comment "I didn't see a foul there except for Kobe jumping into defenders that are running away from him.
1:08 Bill Walton is right. A terrible call. Another crucial terrible call that went against the Kings. The Kings should have won this game by 5 or 10 points.
You know, for all the bad calls on Sacramento, there were some bad non-calls against the Lakers, like at 2:28. The calls against Sacramento were more numerous, but still, the refs were just very inconsistent.
Divac fouled out on that same play, so it wasn't like that missed call had the same negative effect that the numerous other bad calls seemed to have for Sac.
They were supposed to call it on Webber, but the refs knew they coud not guard Shaq in the post with Funderburke so they probably wanted LA to take this game...lol
It wasn't fixed man and I am a big Kings fan. They were just simply bad make up fouls, the refs felt pressured to make or call those fouls not just by the Lakers team but the crowd as well. Yes bad officiating in a significant game but not corruption.
This has been flagged as spam show
i dont care if the lakers and refs stole the 2002 championship. the 2002 kings will always be the champs to me.

Webber's 5th foul was not a foul. You could easily see the defender's feet moving right before he fell, meaning it should've been a blocking foul.

@RyZombie619 I am not a Kings fan. I'm born and raised in Minnesota so i have no ties to either team. I'm just an NBA fan with an outside, unbiased perspective. You on the other hand are a loyal Lakers fan, so of course you are going to defend the integrity of your teams championship.
asdfjkc 2 weeks ago
@RyZombie619 Also, your comparison to OJ Simpson is totally irrelevant and has no ties to Tim Donaghy's situation. OJ's testimony was trying to prove his own innocence about charges against him. Tim Donaghy was already found guilty and he was providing information about events that he himself was not charged with. He had no reason to lie about it because he himself was already found guilty. Just because he wasnt reffing those games, doesn't mean he wouldnt have the down low on them
asdfjkc 2 weeks ago
@asdfjkc he had no reason to lie? course he did. he wanted attention ,he wanted publicity, notice he put a book out, he got a good deal out of all that don't you think? slammed his boss while he was going to jail, made a mess of things, got famous, sure he had a reason to lie. Chances of him knowing exactly what happened at the game is slim considering he was not reffing it. Don;t be so caught in conspiracy theories, it makes you look like a loon. I am a Laker fan but I am able to admit when
RyZombie619 2 weeks ago
@asdfjkc my team fails. I never blame the refs for anything. I could have blamed the refs for the 08 NBA finals, could have blamed them for the 2011 playoffs against the MAvs, but I didn't because I know full well officials DON't decide games. Only whiners don;t understand that.
RyZombie619 2 weeks ago
@RyZombie619 Lets just agree to disagree then. We'll probably never know what really happened anyway so theres no point in debating it. All I will say is that you shouldnt call the Kings fans cry babies for whining about the refs. 27 free throws in the 4th quarter of a pivotal game is something that you too would complain about if it were the Kings shooting those free throws, no matter if they were legitimate fouls or not. Your lakers went out and won game 7 at Arco so props there
asdfjkc 2 weeks ago
@RyZombie619 uh yeah dude..the refs did not benefit the mavs in the 2011 playoffs at all. if anything they were agaisnt them...they called so much ticky tack shit on chandler that he could barley play in the first 2 rounds.
JakeHenry41KC 2 weeks ago
@Element141414 the problem with you and a bunch of other Kings fans is that you want to see something that is not there. Did the Lakers shoot a lot of FT's? Sure. Did the Kings? Damn right they did, they also missed a ton of them. You also don't take into consideration that 6 or 7 fouls were intentional, the Kings want the Lakers to go to the line there. You also don't realize that not every call was a bad call...and the Kings shot 41% from the field, that is bad ok? You cant beat LA that way
RyZombie619 4 months ago
@NBAisfixed2002 yep
RyZombie619 4 months ago
Yeah, there were some bad calls against both teams--they couldn't make it TOO obvious that the fix was on! However, when even Bill Walton (who was as biased towards the Lakers as a commentator could get) and company admit that a call was bad, you have to wonder if they were also suspecting that something was up!
thegambitking 8 months ago
The Webber charge and the foul on Webber's clean block on Kobe were both horrendous calls
forman208 9 months ago
I can bet you that when the Lakers won game 7, many of the players felt that they did not deserve to win receive that trophy. They were not oblivious or ignorant to the non sensencical and erroneous calls made. If it were not for Robert Horry and the refs, Arco Arena would have imploded in Game 5

7:05, thats a foul, whose complaining about that?
RyZombie619 1 year ago
6:06, I find it funny how NFLrankings stupid film shows that clip and lies to make it seem like that was not a foul, when in reality it was, lmao!
RyZombie619 1 year ago
5:14,reaching over foul on Funderburke, thats a good call. He cant guard Shaq.
RyZombie619 1 year ago
2:56, WHERES THE CALL THERE???? one of them was going to be fouled out, it should have been Webber. Kings fans, would you rather have had Webber foul out? I think not. Quit complaining it was a foul. If you cant accept that what can you accept as a foul? Anything the Lakers do is a foul but the Kings are perfect?
RyZombie619 1 year ago
2:29, ok, that was a lame call to go out on, but he still jumped ontop of horry, what is horry? divacs trampoline? you cant just fall ontop of someone and expect to not get called for it. I've seen a lot worse calls that fouled people out.
RyZombie619 1 year ago
at 1:05, ummmm, i dont see the complaint....Webber did that earlier to a much more severe degree and got away with it, are they just going to let him keep knocking people over and not call anything?
RyZombie619 1 year ago
Anybody that has a brain know that Sacramento was supposed to win Gm 6 by double digits. The refs could not handle seeing the kings beat the lakers at staples.
toofresh91 1 year ago
@toofresh91 no see people that dont have brains think that way, way to go pal, way to go. Divac committed fouls, Pollard committed fouls, they rightfully fouled out. If you dispute that you need help because you dont have the faintest idea of what a foul is. This gamewas not fixed, I expected to see a bunch of awful calls and the Lakers not being touched and getting calls for them and I am seeing none of that. I am seeing the Kings getting bailed out by the refs and then when they commit a foul
RyZombie619 1 year ago
@RyZombie619 Whoa where are you going. Divac's 6th foul happened by a tip of his pinky. most people wont agree with you. even some lakers fans admit sacramento deserved the win. How do you justify Bibby getting ran over by Bryant in the final seconds of game six. Why did the refs allow Bryant to shoot free throws while Bibby had a bloody nose.
toofresh91 1 year ago
@toofresh91 well when I get there, I will let you know, but the biggest complaints are that Divac and Pollard fouled out. Well, they deserved to. How can you say Divac's sixth foul was by the tip of his pinky? he fell on top of Robert Horry! You cant just fall on people. Also, Horry fell because of Webber fouling him in the first place and there was no call, so in all honesty, WEbber should have been the one to foul out, would you prefer that?
RyZombie619 1 year ago
@toofresh91 its fixed? how does that work? Too many times have the kings gotten away with shit in this game, and you expect people to believe that there was a fix because fouls were called on them? give me a break. those fouls were deserved
RyZombie619 1 year ago
@RyZombie619 yeah and look at 1:02. Horry clearly FLOPPED and the refs called it an offensive foul
toofresh91 1 year ago
@toofresh91 well i admit that horry did a little flop there, but Webber did make contact and if you recall (which you probably dont) webber smashed into horry and there was no call
RyZombie619 1 year ago
7:20 what the hell is that? a national tv or the kings tv? I can't believe how these guys can be so partials in their job. Christie made a clear foul on bryant. It's a clear foul, I don't know why walton and jones talked so much trash.

@Salva46 That wasnt a foul on christie after
shakaku91211 1 year ago
2:54 The refs did a favour to the kings here, they should have put the webber's ass on the bench after this foul.

@Salva46 then Bob delaney fouled out divac on a made up foul
shakaku91211 1 year ago
@shakaku91211 yeah but webber is better than Divac. Webber should have been eliminated at this point but the refs forgave him. Divac fouled out, because this is not the NFL, you cant jump over a rival.
Salva46 1 year ago
@Salva46 look at the 4th quarter free throw attempts LA 27 SAC 9
shakaku91211 1 year ago
@shakaku91211 Shaq only went to the line 1 time in gm5 and what?. 27 to 9, that is only a NUMBER, A STATISTIC. Tell me what kings foul is not foul, and what non call lakers foul, is a real foul. Sometimes the numbers reflected the reality, maybe the lakers defended better in this quarter, and the kings defended worst. Maybe the lakers played more agressive and the kings less. In game number 5 the kings had 10 FT more than the lakers , fixed game? not necessarily, they may be more aggressive.

@Salva46 in game 7 sabonis fouled out on made up fouls well his 5th was an offensive foul on shaq. refs ignored goaltendings on the lakers at the end while steve smith was fouled by shaq.
shakaku91211 1 year ago
@shakaku91211 Oh come on...the Lakers won that game fair & square. The Blazers CHOKED, they had a 15-point lead & blew it. I swear, you're a Laker hater, aren't you?
Headbanger82688 1 year ago
@Headbanger82688 no bavetta was again a ref in that game refs called portland for phantom calls. Shaq fouled steve smith at the end
shakaku91211 1 year ago
@shakaku91211 So is Bavetta a referee who "fixes" games? I highly doubt it. I've seen him in other NBA games & he calls those games fine. Dude, I can't believe you're complaining about a game that happened almost 11 YEARS AGO. I'll have to watch that game again but from what I remember the officiating was fine. Geez you act like the refs are conspiring against the Kings & now the Blazers! Pathetic.

@Headbanger82688 Dick Bavetta was implicated in the betting scandal. Tim donaghy said he was the go to guy
NBAisfixed2002 1 year ago
@NBAisfixed2002 This game was NOT FIXED. Why would you believe a convicted felon? There were just some bad calls, that's all. Ever since he said those things people have been crying "FIXED!" at both this game & game 7 of the 2000 WCF between the Lakers and Blazers. Check out this great blog entry about this game: 82games.com/lakerskingsgame6.htm Read that quote from David Stern. It says it all.
Headbanger82688 1 year ago
@Headbanger82688 on that site he said something like maybe you saw it different. David stern said about game 6 2002 if my memory calls it was not one of the best refreed games. Shots heard around the world said Stern used that as a cop out. David stern didnt want to be asked why his 3 refs wernt disciplined.
shakaku91211 1 year ago
@shakaku91211 Well he was being as unbiased as possible & took into consideration those things about basketball he listed such as the first one which read: "Basketball is a very difficult game to officiate." Not everyone's perfect of course, and he clearly states that his review can be easily challenged. I thought it was a great read. And that's pretty much what David Stern said: "You can watch it, you can look at it again, and you could see what we call the correct, incorrect and noncall
Headbanger82688 1 year ago
@shakaku91211 noncall incorrect. … My guess is it won't be pretty, but it won't be dishonest and it won't be illegal. Of that I assure you."
Headbanger82688 1 year ago
@Headbanger82688 You are sheep . Believe the script David stern puts out for you , your already brain washed . People who get brainwashed are 75 % likely to be less intelligent . You highly doubt Dick bevetta fixes games ? Or how about the F.B.I. confirming that Tim donaghy was truthful in all information given up , if he lied he wouldt get sentence reduced by 98% he would of served a much higher sentence .
2002films 1 year ago
@2002films You are a dumbass for believing all these conspiracy theories. This happened almost 10 years ago & you're still saying that the Kings REALLY won the NBA Championship that season when the Lakers were just better. I watched this game & felt like there was no fucking fix at all. Just a few bad calls on both teams. Calling me sheep for believing that is stupid cause it's my fucking opinion! Argue all you want, it's not gonna change anything.
Headbanger82688 1 year ago
@Headbanger82688 well you are right for one thing it wont change anything. The lakers got 27 free throws in the 4th quarter. Former NBA ref Tim Donaghy knew what went behind close doors NBA tells the refs to like a player likes to swing his elbows. He said NBA refs keep players in a game like not to eject star players.
shakaku91211 1 year ago
bill walton is a celtic bitch, and steve jones a blazer bitch. What an impartial commentators!!! please they hate the lakers. 1:18 walton said terrible call, what the fuck are you talking about bitch? do you have eyes in your fuckin face? look at webber elbow mothafucka!!

@Salva46 horry flopped on the play
shakaku91211 1 year ago
@shakaku91211 The elbow man. The fucking elbow. Right into Horry. I don't give a shit if he flopped, but that was a good call.
Headbanger82688 1 year ago
@Headbanger82688 Robert horry flopped against boozer in utah and got the call
NBAisfixed2002 1 year ago
@NBAisfixed2002 Yeah, so what? Horry is not the only player who flops. Vlade Divac is a BIG flopper, hence the nickname Floppy Divac. He tried to draw a foul once in game 7 & he didn't get the call cause Dan Crawford explained that he just fell down or flopped. That was a GREAT call cause he clearly did. Actually, a LOT of NBA players flop to draw fouls. About 8 times out of 10 they will get the call. But in some cases they won't cause the refs know they just flopped.
Headbanger82688 1 year ago
@Salva46 blill walton agreed with the refs I blieve game 4

@shakaku91211 All 3 comments you responded to me earlier had the word "officiating" in it. Another Kings fan crying about the officials? This is new...
skillz0122 1 year ago
How was this game rigged? The refereeing was poor, but the refs missed some obvious calls on the Kings, what with all the moving screens, flops, offensive fouls etc. The Kings let the refereeing get to them whereas the Lakers just played ball. After every foul call, the Kings were up in arms, being all theatrical. In a playoff game with so much on the line, that is not how you go about your business. It doesn't help that their coach complained a lot too. But to say the game is rigged is absurd.

Webber's 5th foul, the charge was b.s. Vlade's 6th foul was a ticky tacky foul at best, and at 7:30 Bill Walton made the comment "I didn't see a foul there except for Kobe jumping into defenders that are running away from him.
mdunlop1978 1 year ago 6

You know, for all the bad calls on Sacramento, there were some bad non-calls against the Lakers, like at 2:28. The calls against Sacramento were more numerous, but still, the refs were just very inconsistent.

@twcbuff
Divac fouled out on that same play, so it wasn't like that missed call had the same negative effect that the numerous other bad calls seemed to have for Sac.
