  • I woulda kept the ZR1, sorry bro, I'd feel bad getting rid of it too.

  • Steve sanders had one of these new, when he was in high school!!!!!! i still cant afford one, lol

  • Did you have that xpipe custom made? How much was it? I have an '85 that I am about to put the motor back in. I've done a few things to increase power to about 330 but its not a zr1. I really want an exotic sounding exhaust, not really throaty like my truck on my channel.

  • @racekid691792 Stainless works made the head X pipe, as for cost I do not remeber

  • @wrathguard do you think its better to get an x pipe that actually crosses the exhaust from the 2 tubes or the ones that just come together like an x shape?

  • oh yeah...she sounds beautiful!

  • I really miss that car. I sold her for my current Viper. Last i heard that the guy I sold it to installed a nice stereo in it then It was broken into and stolen. shortly after that i found it for sale online. After it was picked up again the guy blew tho motor in it.

  • @wrathguard I'm right there with you man. I sold my 1990 C4 back in '02 for an '00 C5, traded that for an '04 Z06...Now I have a Viper GTS. The old 1990 vette was very loud and fast. Heads, cam, intake, flowmaster cat back. I really miss it...Sorry to hear about your car, but please enjoy your Viper...:)

  • @wrathguard man, that sucks, I would never trade a zr1 for a viper!

  • Hi wrathguard, i'm massimiliano from milan Italy,i have a 1990 zr1 i want this exhaust. The sound is beautiful!!!have you buy it on eckler's??It's the same kit of eckler's?Sorry for my english!! Bye

  • Corvy1976, it is great to see that the ZR-1 is apreciated in other countrys than America! This is a Billy Boat exhaust with a X pipe made by Stainless Works which replaced the resonator. Ecklers does sell this Exhaust but it will not sound exactly the same with the resonator it comes with. you will need to find one or in my case have one made. If you have a E-mail let me know I would be more that happy to talk with ya about it also if you have not joined zr1 net you should do so.

  • @wrathguard

Hello!!!!how are you???do you remember me??I'm Max from Italy!!I buy the B&B exhaust for my Zr-1 but i'll like tu have your sound. Do you have some picture of your x-pipe?My mail is rommas76@yahoo.it

    Thanks so much in advance!!!

    Bye

  • sounds wicked man! I wanna see/hear a street video now. lol

  • LOL that is what alot of people have told me. I will do it as soon as i get my headers installed! Right now they are still being made so maybe another 3 weeks or so.

  • awesome, can't wait. if it were affordable and there were more of those engines, what a swap that would be into my 94 Z28... a guy can dream can't he? lol

  • the cars are somewhat easy to come by now.. At the time I had a 1984 Corvette and I was not even looking for a car. One day i was browsing around online when I saw that there was a Z for sale in Oregon.. I dont think i drove over there fast enough. The cars are affordable I bought mine for 26K. alot better than the 60K back in 1990.

  • wow, what a steal. I had no idea.

  • Sounds great! what kind of exhaust? I have borlas on mine and it doesn't sound as good.

  • Thank you! Its a Billy Boat 3" Exhaust . I replaced the resonator with a X pipe.
