  • Philips lost their way about 15 years ago, making over complicated gimicky equipment. Back in the 80's they were great but what the hell were they thinking of with their LED wall shining tv?? and their DVD recorder is the worst on earth, it's a bitch to work, it's no wonder British shop shy away from them now.

PHILIPS, SACK YOUR RND TEAM, ESPECIALLY SOFTWARE STAFF, THEY WILL DRAG YOU DOWN!!

30 YEARS IN TV TRADE, I OUGHT TO KNOW

  • NÃO COMPRE TV LCD PHILIPS. SE QUER SABER O PORQUE, ME PERGUNTE. =

Do not buy philips lcd tv. if you want to know why, I ask.

  • DAMMIT I CANT EVEN TURN IT ON

  • i have the exact same tv... just about 5 years now... never had a problem... i mean every once in a blue after like 30 hours of being on it will shut off on its own because it overheats... but it turns right back on... i use it as a computer monitor, tv, gaming station and between everyone in my house using it... i dont think it gets more than like 6 hours of off time a day for the past 4.5 years... i love the ambilight

  • well its not from hell. but a crappy design and you will rather have a 12in black and white tv.

  • i got same tv, and i got a lot of problems... it turned off itself while i'm watching or it turned on itself while it's off...

  • it was happening also to me even if it was another tv.....somedays i was coming home and tv was on even if NOBODY was turning it on:-)

  • your chances of fixing this yourself are slim to none. get it to a tech.

next time stick with CRT - better picture, usually easier and far cheaper to fix. better for the environment

  • Whenever the tv goes on the fritz, I unplug it for a minute, plug back and it goes back to normal. But just how "normal" is a tv you have to reset by unplugging it? Great craftmanship Philips!

  • It's called Electronics. Philips manufactured this same model over 100,000 times and of course a certain percent are going to fail. Also don't you know that all Electronic companies have their products manufactured all in the same places? Your wonderful Sony or Vizio has a higher percentage failure rate than Philips.

  • that's true....i have two philips tv at home and they are PERFECT

  • For some reason, Philips's quality control of their video boards has been lower then average lately.

  • Hey i got the same TV as well and it works fine...

  • I have a 50" plasma philips , fucking thing wont even put out a picture now, not even 1 yr old, no warranty but is there something any one has tried with same prob plz plz post!

  • I have this TV - no issues. My friends have bought it as well and love it.

  • God, that's gotta suck. No Music Choice... :(

  • i got the same tv no problemos
