You are correct.  And the word wasn't listed in the 1,000 manual either. And the word had roots in 5 languages while no other word had roots in more than 3 languages. He got double screwed. not on the list and impossible to figure out. Either you know the word or you don't.

No Championship words are going to be on the list. Not even the words in the semi-finals. They can use any word in Webster's 3rd International dictionary. Luck of the draw. It can seem so unfair at times because not all the words in a single round seen like they are the same caliber if difficulty. Like last year - Sid got out on "prosopopoeia" and Sameer won on "guerdon".  Is Kennyi eligible next year?
