Watching the bikes go through the water brings back fond memories. Now, in N. Indiana and Michigan the DNR or Forestry Srvice will make an immediate arrest and sieze the bike of you're caught in any stream in the thousands of acres of Federal and State Forest areas. 30 years ago we used to ride down or across creek beds. No longer. My grandkids will be lucky to ride off-road at all.

Yes, regulations are getting worse here in CA also... More riding areas are being closed... Generally speaking it is the OHV riders that are the 1's managing the trails, not Forestry...

Most of the flaggers that you saw there were actually sweepers. They had helmets on, 1.because the bottleneck right turn can get pretty gnarly and 2. because after the starts they jump on their bikes and take off.
