  • such cutting words...profound

  • @KyPip agreed. the words are very deep

  • Thank you for saring , Keith Green relly made an impact with his songs,

We need more song writers like him, he truly loved the Lord

    God Bless you !!!!

  • Keith kept the faith...he heard his calling and followed to it's conclusion...RIP brother

  • @RussRamey6 so true.

  • Love this song!

  • @CombatMedicRN Yes, you've been brainwashed by the simian likes of Lorraine Boettner, and you most likely don't even know it. You indeed follow humans.

  • @CombatMedicRN The irony is really amazing, as not only do you follow humans, you follow heretics: Martin Luther, John Calvin, and the rest of their ilk who invented the various Protestant religions. The disaster of modernity flows directly from that greatest disaster in history: the Protestant revolt. Like Lucifer, these fiends declared: Non serviam. When you persecute Christ's Church, you persecute Christ Himself. You'll see.

  • @Jitpring "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."

    Revelation 3:20

Catholic or Protestant, Jew or Gentile, we will all stand before the same judgement and the same God. When we do, he will ask: "Do you believe I sent my son Jesus Christ to die for your sins, and that he was raised again on the third day, and does he dwell in your heart?" To all those that say yes, God will open the doors for them.

  • @CombatMedicRN Friend, read The Catholic Controversy by St. Francis de Sales.

  • @CombatMedicRN Typically ignorant nonsense.

  • I dedicate this song to the "commandment" of tithing :)!

  • @joeybeav78 Amen! Not just financial tithing but tithing your entire being! :)

  • Such True words - no compromise... Which is how IT SHOULD BE!

  • Ouch.

  • So many professing Christians today are trying to establish their own righteousness, instead of submitting to the righteousness of Jesus Christ. We are not saved by our own righteousness. To obey=Believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and receive the Holy Spirit. Better than sacrifice- Doing all kinds of things to make ourselves worthy, or giving up things, neither of which can save us. Obey: Trust in Christ and accept His free gift of salvation.

  • How odd to see Protestants, of all people, talking about obedience.

  • @Jitpring You think Keith Green was a protestant?

  • @Seabass70x7 You're under that impression that Keith Green wasn't a Protestant? Strange.

  • @Jitpring Yea, he was non-denominational. He thought Religion and Churchianity was a bad thing

  • @Seabass70x7 Yes, a typically Protestant point of view.

  • @Jitpring Just tryin to follow Jesus man, is that such a crime?

We're on the same side, why we gotta be enemies?

Hearts of Fire man, not Prayers of Ice.

  • @Seabass70x7 The Protestant revolt led to the damnation of millions upon millions of souls, and continues to do so today. At this moment souls are raining into Hell like snowflakes, and the Protestant revolt is at the root of much of this. One must think clearly, not be blinded by wretched sentimentality. Christ was no sentimentalist. I recommend reading The Catholic Controversy by St. Francis de Sales, along with College Apologetics by Rev. Anthony Alexander.

  • @Jitpring I don't think it's your place to judge who is going to Hell or not.

It is written: You should not Judge, or you shall be Judged.

I think you need to remember the story of the Good Samaritan.

Because the Samaritan might as well be a Protestant, and Catholics might as well be Jew's.

  • Wonderful music from a wonderful man.

  • the ccm lot arent like keith they do compromise!

  • Imagine playing this on the radio now Hahahaha

  • @Califacience - What this world needs now is to remove the trash and DO play this on the radio now! So many have forsaken Christ, such sad empty times full of sad empty lives. Thank you Keith! See you when I come home!

  • Insight- the only way we can obey God is by His Holy Spirit working in us...not by our flesh. Let us love God with all our heart, strength, mind and soul (not part but all) and as we dwell on God's word and are led by the Holy Spirit, than we can obey Him and bring Him glory. Who's in? Me!

  • @Heismorethanable Well said : ) we can't obey Him with out His Power to do so by submitting to His Holy Wonderful Spirit :)

  • @sallycharlie7 If only I knew this sooner... Continue to walk and be led by the Spirit as we worship God in spirit and truth. And to think and know and believe we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. I will be working on mystery/truth for eternity. God's richest blessing as you depend on His Spirit.

  • Love it! Thanks to Keith for a song that continues to ingrain the truth of God's eternal Word into minds that are being transformed. To God be the glory.

  • Christianity today, pleads Grace to excuse their sins, but God desires Obedience! If you sin God will forgive you (1 John 2), but we should strive not to sin (Hebrews 12:4)! To Obey trully is better than Sacrifice!

  • @SERVANTofYHVH well put. Grace is real, but it's not a dumping ground for disobediance. I wish I could live like this.

  • Obedience not based on feelings. Yields the greatest spiritual dividends.

  • @otherworld11 What do you mean by 'not based on feelings' ?

I want to obey Him with all the love and joy that's in me. Instead of obeying Him out of sense of duty. To obey is better than sacrifice.

  • BEAUTIFUL SONGS.

  • What a foreign concept today- obedience...and yet God wants us to obey Him. How can we, when we live in a generation that does not obey parents, teachers, elders or any sort of authority. May we learn to obey Him...since he made us, since he provided a way of salvation for us, since he loved us. Amen.

  • @Heismorethanable For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy 2timothy 3:2He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil luke6;46And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

this is were we are! people think grace is a license to sin! many called few chosen

  • @jesusiloveyou2 Scripture does not sugar coat the state of man. I just need to look at my life to testify to that...but the love and grace of God and the power of His Holy Spirit is such that we who believe are new creatures in Christ. We praise you Lord Jesus for freeing us from this bond of sin and slavery

  • @Heismorethanable I went to his concert and that was the night the HARD CORE! UNPOLISHED! GUT RIPPING! SIN CONDEMNING! BURNING FIRE TRUTH SET ME FREE!

  • Beautiful song.

  • Totally agree with reagangal- Keith is a modern day prophet....sent by God at the appointed time to stir the North American church to action...not self-centered service. May these words in this song (and others) shake us all to the core so we truly trust and follow after Him. To God be the glory...great things He has done...and will do! Amen!

  • What a message to the church! " ...cuz if you can't come to me everyday, don't bother coming at all!" Still my favorite message Keith passed along to us! And...."I want's hearts of fire not prayers of ice...." What is happening in the world is simply a mirror reflection of what is going on in the church. Keith understood that and issued the challenge in this song...truly a modern day prophet.

  • @reagangal

Perfect! Right on! I went to his concert and that was the night the HARD CORE! UNPOLISHED! GUT RIPPING! SIN CONDEMNING! BURNING FIRE TRUTH SET ME FREE!

  • Great song. Godbless!

  • I can still remember reading the Full Gospel Busniess Men magazine, where his death was announced. I was in primary school and i cried because was my favourite singer. He still is right up there as my fav music ministers

  • I remember listening to his cassette tapes in the car. his voice is so unique and soothing.

  • To God be the Glory !

The song hasnt lost it's power and meaning. Hard to believe it's been so many years since the plane crash. I can still see him in my minds eye with his wife holding their small baby.
