How to minimize the risk of being banned by Google or other service?

Thanks for sharing this SEO team haven't used the tool in a little while now I will follow your advice and use with moderation of course. I have heard of google banning people for automatic queries with certain types of software but this is just crazy. Webmasters are always looking for an advantage whether it be automated or manual. I did not know this about the warning info is a ban from google. because I got the message "if you get this message probably banned by google because a lot of demand" (what he meant by the message that page?) anyone can help explain in detail and example? thanks

my seo quake is intermittent. sometimes it's working and sometimes it's not. i have been using this for a month already and it's only now that I have encountered problems. it has affected my search status plug in as well because it won't anymore display the PR of every site's page. how can i fix this ? Whoa!!! You're kidding me right? BANNED!? Banned from what? Searching Google? or My website showing up on Google? Or Both?

Why would Google ban a person using this extension? There are MANY SEO tools on the web that do the same thing, just in a different manner! Does Google ban us if we use those as well? We need more info on this!!!

Where can I find out more on this, this, "banning" stuff, and we info that's officially from Google?

I've used the tool for years, never been banned by Google although I've had co-workers that have been. BTW "banned" is not permanent, or even "banned" in the true sense of the word. It just means that Google will require you to complete a captcha when performing a search, and even that's only temporary.

Wow I have used this tool for months and just found out I could get banned from Google for using it. You guys need to put a better warning at Mozilla. I am glad I used it lightly my whole living comes from my websites. Great tool just way to risky to use.

Are you sure its temporary and only affects searching? The warning Google gives is in the webmasters area Google is clear, using automated query software is not allowed. Can you say for certain your software won't cause permanent loss of some or all of my Google services? Has Google commented on this? What if they contact my ISP? This needs to be addressed with more than a two sentence reply. To much is at stake to speculate the consequences. I need definite answers based on what Google says.

I read the terms at Google and its clear as a bell. You can only use the Google interface to use the services. Anything else is a TOS violation. From Google: If your clearly show you do not intend to comply with the TOS your relationship with Google will be terminated. Google goes on to say clearly in the webmaster area that using these tools is not allowed. Its in this area as this is a webmaster's tool. They may not ban you outright for good but the fact is they can for using this tool.
