@m301 The NYK Logistics & Megacarrier containers are made by Deluxe Innovations. They're a little hard to find (actually all their containers are hard to find at the moment since their factory got flooded in Hurricane Irene and the China factory is behind on orders). Occasionally you can see them on eBay, or as new old stock items at model train swap meets. I've also found them at local hobby stores.
@SD60M9250 My layout is only a 4x8'. Relatively small, but manageable - I've been working on it for 5 years already and still far from done with it! But big enough to have 18" radius curves so I can run basically anything on the layout...I quit HO scale because I didn't have big enough radius curves and not enough space to run what I want. In N scale, that's no longer a problem!
question, i noticed you have what looks like quite a few of deluxe innovation well car sets... how do you like them? all i have is walthers and a couple of kato sets and the kato blows the walthers outta the pond. didn't know if deluxe ones were as good or better than the kato.
@mikey69up DeLuxe makes great intermodal cars...The Maxi IIIs are made of metal and are well-weighted, but the TwinStack cars are all plastic and really need weighted containers on the bottom wells or else they derail. I know what you mean by Walthers. Most of their N scale trains border on being toys. But if you're into adding details and modifying them, they can be nice models.
Thanks! The layout is still a work in progress. I've only been an N scaler for 3 years, after over 26 years in HO. I got frustrated with HO and am glad I made the switch!
I have 2 of the Conrail Twin Stacks. Bought them a long time ago.

What's the song in this video? I can tell it's John Mayer's voice, but what's the song name?

@Interestingenough4 The song is "Stop This Train" from his "Continuum" album.

Where did you find the Logistics' Containers? I didn't think anyone made them yet.

@metroredline Same thing for me i quit HO for N to run bigger locos and longer trains. BTW is your trackplan a twice around style layout?
SD60M9250 3 months ago
@SD60M9250 Yeah, it's a "folded dogbone" type trackplan, it crosses over itself in the middle.

@SD60M9250 Thanks, my layout is only a 4x8...I started building it 5 years ago and it's STILL a work in progress!

Well you definitly made a great switch. I mean I love HO, but N is the scale for me, because I can fit way more in a smaller space.
