If it is common place for the police to dispatch 8+ strapping police officers to tackle a couple of peaceful, elderly protesters, then I'm inclined to think that the police are in fact chronically OVERfunded. That's certainly one service I wouldn't mind seeing cut!

I refused and was then, armtwisted and marched to the van, handcuffed and arrested. I was then told that I could be 'dearrested' if I gave my details. Which I did. I was then released. Shocking behaviour towards peaceful protesters. The public was, however, hugely in support of the action
