  • If you have a scene in UDK using all your own static meshes, and you want to make a cinematic, you could bring the scene into your character animation, and then use CAT pathnodes to make them move around, instead of messing around with the annoying matinee"movement paths"! From now on I'm doing it like this!

  • can CAT work using the the standard key frame animation?

  • @ 1:29 - 1:31 : Poor toothy! =(

  • thanx man... great tutorialz..

  • Thanks, thanks, thanks very much!! again ;)

  • oh my god that CAT rig tool is so powerful, i made a 3 legged creature with no arms or head and it gave it this awesome run cycle like a horse, damn!!! thank yo uso much for introducing me to it and your awesome tutorials!

  • @ColloseusXReturns makes me super happy someone is able to make some non standard, no head, no arm'ed, 3 legged character run around..

    this pleases me :)

  • when i clicked play, it crumpled into a ball :| wtf did i do wrong?

  • @Iforgot276 tough to say without seeing it. A few thoughts:

1.) Did you use ActorX to export? Any errors or messages on export?

2.) Have you gotten any animations to look correct, or do they all look wrong?

3.) Also, in the Animation Viewer, under Animset (at the bottom, its a tab), make sure Rotation Only, is unchecked.. sometimes that can cause issues..

If you can upload a video of what you are seeing, I'll try to problem solve it with you..

  • @fritzstudio Its ok now, i had to reset my 3ds max because other setting from previous projects messed with CAT for some reason, but the crumpled body was hilarious. Thanks for the reply.

  • man the teapot is suck, so just delete it

  • @Suprem3Gamer I dont follow, but thanks for the comment!!

  • Hi man, nice tuts, good job... I have a question to which i can't seem to find an answer anywhere so maybe you can help... Anyway i want my character to walk on a path, but stop for instance in the middle of the path,do another animation and then continue along the path..... Example: walk on a line, stop after 3 meters, jump, walk again for a while, stop again and wave,etc...You get the picture hopefully...So how can that be done and can it be done??? Thx in advance

  • this seems too easy, whats the catch?

  • @stuntmaniatv This is for people who aren't focused on being an animator. This is great for someone like me because i am focused only on character modeling. I can see this being humiliating for hardcore animators though. but again custom rigging and custom animating is still better. So...i like this plugin for animating.

  • this seems too easy,

  • i lol'd when you said 'good try'..haha

  • @stuntmaniatv haha, i often talk to the character i'm animating... I CONTROL YOU You little Digital thing!! MUUHAAHAHAH..

  • 這走路的樣子跟志豪好像~~哈哈

  • hi mike very good tutorials I hope you keep making more
