dude how fast it takes the photo is shutter speed plus this camera uses a fake sound shutter with one sound like TIK instead of TIK TIK which seems faster but it really isn't. not trying to offend you but you but to let you know and you need to use manual not auto.
Hey, i've got three questions. I used to have the SD870 IS but I lost it.. and I'm looking to buy another.
1. How much did you pay for this camera?
2. How much do you think it goes for used?
3. Does it record well at concerts? That's what I REALLY need... this is how well the 870 recorded: /watch?v=QWM5DsyesgM (as you see the sound is very nice and the bass does not distort the sound). Would the SD1100 record just as well or even better?
the camera looks really nice. I was just wondering can you do the color accent thing so only one color shows up in a picture and the rest is black and white?
WAY TO GO KIDDO! very nice review! i just got mine a few hours ago and i'm in love with it already and i can't wait to use it every single day. my big thing is pictures of food so how is the macro mode?
The macro mode works great for taking close up pictures and stuff, and I think a blurry back-ground makes the macro pics look really professional. It's really convenient that they're really easy to take also. Thanks for the comment!
My moving subjects keep coming out blurry. I don't know what is the best way to set the settings. Is it the ISO? It's inside so I don't use flash. I love this camera and this is the only problem I have. Should I just reset it? Help.
If your using auto mode, press down on the control panel and a little side bar should come up on the screen. From here set the ISO to "HIGH ISO". In manual mode, the same thing should be done, except the side bar will have the actual ISO settings in numbers. In this case set the ISO anywhere from 400iso to 1600iso. The higher the ISO, the less motion blur that will occur. Also remember that the higher you set your ISO, the more "noise" that will occur. :)
Great review! I've been waiting for a review for a while. I'm getting mine, like in an hour. I'm not getting a memory card until a week later, so how many pictures and videos can the 32MB (comes with the camera) hold?
On my camera I have all the quality and size settings maxed out. If you have it set that way, then you can get about 11 pictures on a 32mb card. If everything is set to low I could imagine you would get about 30-40 Pictures on the 32mb card. I recommend getting a 2gb card or more for use with this camera. I have a class6 speed 4gb sdhc card and I can get 1100 pictures on it with everything set to high.

Yes, I just checked it out and you select a color you want to filter, and then everything else is black and white.
