I watch these videos because I admire the amount of courage and commitment these men have but when I see the comments below and people are arguing, saying its "easy", or that they "WILL" be a PJ. All I think is either "Do it or shut the fuck up" and admire what these men are doing with their lives, simple as that. I don't mean to offend anyone but basically thats what it come down to...put up or shut up.
We have a reclass who was a week away from graduating PJ school.. and he didn't fail because of the fitness part... it was not being able to do an IV on a plane... ouch
@SpyOpz94 not at all because SEAL's are experts in just about everything when PJ's are experts in rescue. but dont get me wrong they both have the U.S. Military's hardest training.
I went to PJ indoc. It's a lot harder than it looks in these videos, and there is so much they don't show. Don't go to indoc unless it's your life goal to become a PJ because you WILL FAIL. Out of the 150+ that started with me only 14 people made it.
Sad part is 75% of the trainees that try for this dont make it after waiting 1yr+ to get the chance, InDoc is only 9 weeks but the rest of pj training takes 2-3 years so dont get your hopes up if you think you can make it past this, you got a hell of a long way to go.
@Phaint20 And when you get lost at sea.. tell the people the government sent to rescue you they are wasting their time.....kids these days. don't know when to shut the fuck up.
@warmonster86 if your not bullshiting me then do me a favor if you actually make it through the training come back and tell me how EASY it was. I seriously doubt you have what it takes
@warmonster86 if your not bullshiting me then do me a favor if you actually make it through the training come back and tell me how EASY it was. I seriously doubt you willing to do what it takes
@warmonster86 You took a look at a two-minute snapshot and thought "shit, I could do that." Completely missing the point of what makes this difficult: the previous hours and days that led up to this. Go snarf a donut or something to busy your fingers instead of polluting the internets with your blather.
@reddog418 what are you talking about, so your suggesting this is the only evidence i have of them, no i know about and i plan to join them, its better to have a positive attitude about it because if you have a negitive attitude towrds it then its hard as shit to do, dont try to be all tough over the internet
@warmonster86 "dont try to be all tough over the internet" Are you fucking serious? You started the entire thing with "These people are weak,... i could easly do that." 14 of 100 thought they could do that. You're one of the top 10% of those physically fit individuals? I really doubt that, chubs. Shh... I think there's a cheese and bacon covered baked potato calling your name...
@reddog418 you have no idea about my physical level so dont judge me over the internet, i do practices every day that are nearly the same as these, and you calling me fat, i hate bacon. Why try to discourage me huh you think you can do it, i dont think so, so dont try to discourage me.
@warmonster86 If I'm discouraging you over the internets, then you must be self-conscious about your weight. And don't call "Weight Watchers" practices; it's not quite as descriptive and you might mislead a few people. You know, I had a great idea. How about you post a video of you completing some of these exercises? No, simpler yet, just do 2 minutes of pushups. You don't have to show your face, just a little handwritten note so we all know it's you.
@reddog418 okay dude im not contiuning this argument with you because you have no idea who i am and ive already had this same argument with 2 other people and its getting us no one just continue with your merry little day and dont worry about me
@warmonster86 I'm not going to judge your physical fitness but the fact that you called this easy already proves you have NO idea what you're talking about. Pararescue Jumpers are part of the SPECIAL FORCES for a reason, if it was easy then Special Forces wouldn't matter. This is one of the most physically challenging things a human can attempt, and this is only TRAINING. There is no simulation of real combat, this is only preparation. Good luck to you if you try to join, but I doubt you'll pass
Haha great to see. Reminds me of my Para training for the British Army. I would love to try this training! Great to have you as allies! Respect from your UK brothers in Arms! Keep up the good work! Semper Fidellis!
@bloodyman551 You dont just pick one or the other, people who have been in the service and train everyday for years dont make the cut, you think you can get in just because you think its a fun job? And Para Rescue Men risk more than any other force in our military. If your worried about risk get a desk job.
my god are there so many dumbasses on here that dont know shit about anything, QUIT WATCHING DISCOVERY CHANNEL AND MILITARY CHANNEL AND DO SOME REAL RESEARCH, now dont get me wrong this is a good series but dont come here expecting a 1hour show to highlight all of the training in the pipeline
They train for 2 years in total roughly. The special operations (green berets - special forces) community have different training routines except I think some over lap at times or are very close to each other. The training is made up of different types of programs. Each program is designed for a certain amount of time once completed they go onto a new program. Your actual SOF or SF training might be 9 weeks, but after that you go onto learn new trades for your job that can take weeks. imnoexpert
@Tylerx47 depends on how good you are at one-upping your recruiter. Let me tell you, your recruiter is not your friend, treat him/her like an opponent or a car salesman. get EXACTLY what you want or no sale.
Just cause I didnt go through the training doesnt mean I dont know much about them. I work with them on a daily basis. Sure im not saying by any means that I am one god knows i could never do that shit. But you don't have any idea what I do and don't know. And fuck you I fly c130s. There are tons of landing strips where if you go off your mark you can expect to hit an IED. We deal with attacks constantly. Quit reading so much into the anti-af BS that other brances spread.
Hey wuts the song called in the commerical today not the catalyst but there's sum new song...idk! Or is it just their own beat..? And pararescue pretty tough! Ranger school is tougher but I wanna be a marine..so I say good luck to those who wanna do that..much respect for every branch
PJ training is actually over 2 years, my father knew a PJ servicemen. It takes time the cadets to move to the another course such as medic combat course which not all courses are located at one spot, it also takes time and planning for the school or course to get ready for the cadets. So there is usually weeks between the courses which they wait but still train of what they learn when waiting.
gotta get above 50 on the general i believe so jus learn ur stuff and train train train....im actually about to go do wat they jus showed so im in the middle
@NYer212121 yea dude im sure your talking bout the ASVAB cause i study it but im doing PED in senior year of high school im sophomore right now so im just trying to get the grades..but then junior year im probably gonna take the ASVAB but im definetly training myself in junior and senior year..and i wish you the best of luck and remember the hardest part isnt physical its mental so think right and stay focused! =)
@abi999 Well, I was told that it's because if a woman is injured in combat, the men kinda freak out. They're wired to protect. Which, if women did do combat, it wouldn't be fair really to the men. Still love the idea of pararescumen...
@NHLbamboon yes they train for 2 years but yes soldier55555 is right after basic training they stay at lackland air force base and train for 9 weeks witch this video shows witch is the hardest part of their training to weed out all of the weak guys to get the best of the best so the others can go through the rest of the 2 years of training... you dont know much about pararescue. dont worry not much people do.
@novalce are the pjs similar to seals or more like force recon? i dont know much about them since they are not mentioned very often or talked about much overseas like the other branches are. what makes pjs different than the other branches?
@unknow6name They can fight better than seals yet recon like force recon... there's a guy named wil willis who on a show called "special ops mission" goes on a simulated mission and fights a group of usually 4 people... these 4 people usually come from marine recon, force recon, army infantry, elite law enforcment, and seals.
@w33d0wnz69 no, they train for fighting in little to no cover, you obviously dont know anything about what your talking about, you just watch the military channel my freinds dad who is ACTIVE DUTY Pararescue tells me all about the training and how they have not 1 extended training day, but 10, 1 per week of training, also they train for 1.6 -1.9 years of medical, afterwards is when they do combat training
@cwehking1 Yeh i knew that they train to fight with little cover but im more than just a military channel fan... i've done lots of research on army rangers and pararescue but of course i will never fully understand what i'm talking because ive never went through even basic training...
Anyone who says this is not hard.... Try doing the length of the pool underwater- sprint swimming back- and within 1:30 of the beginning of the first underwater- do it again. Repeat 5-10 times with a shirt and dive mask on. Then watch this video again. That is every day to begin the pool session. EVERY DAY. Oh, be sure to warn your lifeguard- because the wizard is out there.
@Thoreaxe14 Of course I do. That isnt some little pussy job like most airforce or navy have. You have an actual combat related job. reconnaissance is vital
@Hooahgoarmy What about CCT's? Most people dont even know that CCT's exist. Just as much training as PJ's except not in saving lives, instead in how to take lives.
@Glock3260 Ya know its funny that I forgot those guys too. Because when I first wanted to join the military in general, I was looking on the Air force website a few years back, and I was like "If i was to join the AF I would become combat control"
@Hooahgoarmy thats a real asshole thing to say. what about SERE instructors who spend 2 years the sarah or in the jungle or in arctic environments for weeks at a time with no supplies so they can learn to survive and teach it to aircrew members? what about the loadmasters who get shot at while they fly into combat zones with a big target on their head and deliver supplies and ammo to troops fighting there or fly for 18 hours straight just getting troops out of the desert so they can go home?
@TannerDanger Hey ya sure why not.. However in our current conflicts, the enemy can barely see our planes, let alone shoot at them. So no dice there... also, You are talking about pilots and instructors... You have to remember that about 95% sit behind a computer or are mechanics...Vital roles yes, however pussy none the less. 6 weeks of basic? And weak basic at that. 6 month deployments with swimming pools and all other kinds of recreational activities?... Ya nice try brother.
@Hooahgoarmy you are ignorant and retarded. 6 weeks? my training is 13 months long. Never get shot at? are you fucking kidding me? My job (as a c130 loadmaster) while we are flying is to sit in the back of my plane with the chaff and flare and watch for enemy fire. Ive been shot at more times than I can count...you ignorant army&marine assholes (btw marines do the same job I do, and army USED to) like to think you guys are the only ones who do anything. Whens the last time you saw the navy?
@ilikechoclatemilk13 /facepalm dude I KNOW that. I work with these guys all the time. I was talking about MY training...I fly on the plane they jump out of
@TannerDanger Your JOB training was 13 months. But basic wasn't. Your basic is 6 weeks. You can say you've been shot at, but that "danger" is no where near of what grunts do. You get small arms fire from thousands of feet away....And ya, Only navy you see is EOD or corpsmen it seems.
@Hooahgoarmy False. Basic is 9 weeks now. and youd be surprised how when you land a c130 in a remote strip how suddenly every "innocent" local in the area happens to have mortars available...and ya of course the grunts are in a lot more "danger"...but thats what they signed up for so they have no room to complain or talk trash. They have no idea what we actually do.
Free energy is finaly here! But the coverup is very strong,Find the real deal, a free energy device at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Be part of the revolution!
@sam24343 you go on active duy status throughout BMT and the pipeline but afterwards you go back to reserve or guard status with your unit if that is the course you took
can anyone tell me how an AF reservist like myself would go about getting into PJ school?? there's gotta be some PJ out there watching these vids...any advice would be appreciated. V/R
quick ?, some kid im talkin to says his dad is training to be a Marine Sniper, but somehow his dad is home almost everyday, he said he has weekend training. Is that even possible?
when i went in , i had the mentality that the only way i was leaving pj indoc was death , getting kicked out , or passing. Thats how you stay in , its not so much the physical aspect , you'll get the hang of it , the hardest part is your mind. Control your mind , and pass at any cost.
@omgxxxomg I was about to say that exact same thing... My uncle says that if he had a choice between the PJs and the Seals to get him out of a hot spot, he would pick the PJs because they are one of the closest thing to a "Super Man" in the world
Russia is the country i would not want to fight, those bastards are crazy, and Spetsnaz training has no blowhorns or bells, and they dnt give a shit if they injure you, truly a training environment without rules.
@PJTDastmalchi yeh i post some stupid comments when im drunk... but when im stoned i post more intelligent and reasonable comments... Russians do probably have approx. The 10th best training ive seen... but i havent seen spetznaz gru training which i think would break my top 8 list
After watching this episode. I have even more respect for the Air Force, what these guys do is amazing, admirable and you have to want it. They risk their lives so "That Others May Live"
Joining the marine corps isnt going to improve your swimming skills unless you pick an mos that involves it like air crew or going for MARSOC. If you want to become pararescue then just go for it. dont waste your time going from branch to branch.
Joining the marine corps isnt going to improve your swimming skills unless you pick an mos that involves it like air crew or going for MARSOC. If you want to become pararescue then just go for it. dont waste your time going from branch to branch.
I want to do this but I got very little swimming experience, I wont even pass PAST... I'm going to have to go into another branch, maybe Marines, but hopefully airforce. If I cant get in, mostly because of the stupid ASVAB score then I'll just go to Marines... While in the Marines I'll build up my swimming on base and study to raise my score ASVAB score. Then in the future I'll try and fulfill my life dream of becoming a pj
@inu5450 Any decent job in the Marines is going to require you to have about a 75 GT score. You don't want to get stuck driving the poop truck in any branch. If your thinking of joining the Military and your basing your branch decision on ASVAB score you should wait a while.
what i dont think is like well.. its that you do all of this shit alllll of this and then u can die in a second in the battlfeild it makes everything worth nothing and i know this makes u strong enough so you will be better skilled not to die but still one wrong move and bam
@FullmetalAlchemist78 I am getting 2 navy seaman ready to go off to basic. They call me the "Drill sergeant". lol I am joining the air force. It's really not bad!
@downtoearth121 thats cool yea it looks like alot of fun and I want to do something with my life but everyone keeps telling i'll regret it and they tell me I won't like it I hate when people tell me what I like and what I don't like I thought I was supposed to make those decisions myself guess i'm a robot
@FullmetalAlchemist78 NO you do want you want! The people who tell you that you will regret it are too scared to do it themselves! They don't want you to be successful!
@FullmetalAlchemist78 Yes it is gonna hurt, and yes it is gonna be long. It will be worth it! Pride is something that is embedded into your heart. YOU WILL HAVE PRIDE!
Now, these guys are definitely not part of the chairforce.

I agree. What a bitch. So if I don't pass my PAST test and I get put into Security Forces or some intel job I don't deserve respect?

drothefuture 1 year ago
@drothefuture I doubt it because there is no drill sergant around to supervise me
and as a basic instinct I will need to rest......... for a day
MonsterSpartan 1 year ago
@NHLbamboon yes they train for 2 years but yes soldier55555 is right after basic training they stay at lackland air force base and train for 9 weeks witch this video shows witch is the hardest part of their training to weed out all of the weak guys to get the best of the best so the others can go through the rest of the 2 years of training... you dont know much about pararescue. dont worry not much people do.
novalce 1 year ago
@novalce are the pjs similar to seals or more like force recon? i dont know much about them since they are not mentioned very often or talked about much overseas like the other branches are. what makes pjs different than the other branches?
unknow6name 1 year ago
@unknow6name they're more like recon, if there's like a plane crash. they'll HALO jump behind enemy lines and rescue them
dontworrybehappy6 1 year ago
@dontworrybehappy6 do they train weapons or close combat like the seals and recon do they only train specifically to rescue behind enemy lines?
unknow6name 1 year ago
@unknow6name all SF you train in everything no matter what u r, of course pararescue have to be expert markmans and all that stuff etc....
mrmandude1 1 year ago
@unknow6name They can fight better than seals yet recon like force recon... there's a guy named wil willis who on a show called "special ops mission" goes on a simulated mission and fights a group of usually 4 people... these 4 people usually come from marine recon, force recon, army infantry, elite law enforcment, and seals.
w33d0wnz69 1 year ago
@w33d0wnz69 no, they train for fighting in little to no cover, you obviously dont know anything about what your talking about, you just watch the military channel my freinds dad who is ACTIVE DUTY Pararescue tells me all about the training and how they have not 1 extended training day, but 10, 1 per week of training, also they train for 1.6 -1.9 years of medical, afterwards is when they do combat training
cwehking1 1 year ago
@cwehking1 Yeh i knew that they train to fight with little cover but im more than just a military channel fan... i've done lots of research on army rangers and pararescue but of course i will never fully understand what i'm talking because ive never went through even basic training...
w33d0wnz69 1 year ago
I think i'll die if ie do that

Anyone who says this is not hard.... Try doing the length of the pool underwater- sprint swimming back- and within 1:30 of the beginning of the first underwater- do it again. Repeat 5-10 times with a shirt and dive mask on. Then watch this video again. That is every day to begin the pool session. EVERY DAY. Oh, be sure to warn your lifeguard- because the wizard is out there.

Thoreaxe14 1 year ago
@Thoreaxe14 Of course I do. That isnt some little pussy job like most airforce or navy have. You have an actual combat related job. reconnaissance is vital
Hooahgoarmy 1 year ago
@Hooahgoarmy What about CCT's? Most people dont even know that CCT's exist. Just as much training as PJ's except not in saving lives, instead in how to take lives.
Glock3260 1 year ago
@Glock3260 Ya know its funny that I forgot those guys too. Because when I first wanted to join the military in general, I was looking on the Air force website a few years back, and I was like "If i was to join the AF I would become combat control"
Hooahgoarmy 1 year ago
@Hooahgoarmy thats a real asshole thing to say. what about SERE instructors who spend 2 years the sarah or in the jungle or in arctic environments for weeks at a time with no supplies so they can learn to survive and teach it to aircrew members? what about the loadmasters who get shot at while they fly into combat zones with a big target on their head and deliver supplies and ammo to troops fighting there or fly for 18 hours straight just getting troops out of the desert so they can go home?
TannerDanger 1 year ago
@TannerDanger Hey ya sure why not.. However in our current conflicts, the enemy can barely see our planes, let alone shoot at them. So no dice there... also, You are talking about pilots and instructors... You have to remember that about 95% sit behind a computer or are mechanics...Vital roles yes, however pussy none the less. 6 weeks of basic? And weak basic at that. 6 month deployments with swimming pools and all other kinds of recreational activities?... Ya nice try brother.
Hooahgoarmy 1 year ago
@Hooahgoarmy you are ignorant and retarded. 6 weeks? my training is 13 months long. Never get shot at? are you fucking kidding me? My job (as a c130 loadmaster) while we are flying is to sit in the back of my plane with the chaff and flare and watch for enemy fire. Ive been shot at more times than I can count...you ignorant army&marine assholes (btw marines do the same job I do, and army USED to) like to think you guys are the only ones who do anything. Whens the last time you saw the navy?
TannerDanger 1 year ago
@TannerDanger dude they train for 2 years
ilikechoclatemilk13 1 year ago
@ilikechoclatemilk13 /facepalm dude I KNOW that. I work with these guys all the time. I was talking about MY training...I fly on the plane they jump out of
TannerDanger 1 year ago
@TannerDanger Your JOB training was 13 months. But basic wasn't. Your basic is 6 weeks. You can say you've been shot at, but that "danger" is no where near of what grunts do. You get small arms fire from thousands of feet away....And ya, Only navy you see is EOD or corpsmen it seems.
Hooahgoarmy 1 year ago
@Hooahgoarmy False. Basic is 9 weeks now. and youd be surprised how when you land a c130 in a remote strip how suddenly every "innocent" local in the area happens to have mortars available...and ya of course the grunts are in a lot more "danger"...but thats what they signed up for so they have no room to complain or talk trash. They have no idea what we actually do.

@marbm8 you have to go active duty to be a PJ, talk to a recruiter about it.
sam24343 1 year ago
@sam24343 you go on active duy status throughout BMT and the pipeline but afterwards you go back to reserve or guard status with your unit if that is the course you took
ownage1894 1 year ago
can anyone tell me how an AF reservist like myself would go about getting into PJ school?? there's gotta be some PJ out there watching these vids...any advice would be appreciated. V/R

@marbm8 the 129th at Moffit AFB has an Air Guard PJ unit. Like sam said talk to a recruiter its your best source of info.

when i went in , i had the mentality that the only way i was leaving pj indoc was death , getting kicked out , or passing. Thats how you stay in , its not so much the physical aspect , you'll get the hang of it , the hardest part is your mind. Control your mind , and pass at any cost.
Vantzyourule 1 year ago
you guys know that the pass rate of superman school is approximately 4-6/100
or about a 90% dropout rate
thats higher than BUD/s, Ranger School, Special Forces Q Course, the only SOF training that rivals that is Delta Selection
omgxxxomg 1 year ago
@omgxxxomg I was about to say that exact same thing... My uncle says that if he had a choice between the PJs and the Seals to get him out of a hot spot, he would pick the PJs because they are one of the closest thing to a "Super Man" in the world

@omgxxxomg yep and delta recruits men that are already special ops.even then 95% fail

@w33d0wnz69
Russia is the country i would not want to fight, those bastards are crazy, and Spetsnaz training has no blowhorns or bells, and they dnt give a shit if they injure you, truly a training environment without rules.
PJTDastmalchi 1 year ago
@PJTDastmalchi yeh i post some stupid comments when im drunk... but when im stoned i post more intelligent and reasonable comments... Russians do probably have approx. The 10th best training ive seen... but i havent seen spetznaz gru training which i think would break my top 8 list

Joining the marine corps isnt going to improve your swimming skills unless you pick an mos that involves it like air crew or going for MARSOC. If you want to become pararescue then just go for it. dont waste your time going from branch to branch.

ScottBrutalScott 1 year ago
I want to do this but I got very little swimming experience, I wont even pass PAST... I'm going to have to go into another branch, maybe Marines, but hopefully airforce. If I cant get in, mostly because of the stupid ASVAB score then I'll just go to Marines... While in the Marines I'll build up my swimming on base and study to raise my score ASVAB score. Then in the future I'll try and fulfill my life dream of becoming a pj
inu5450 1 year ago
@inu5450 Any decent job in the Marines is going to require you to have about a 75 GT score. You don't want to get stuck driving the poop truck in any branch. If your thinking of joining the Military and your basing your branch decision on ASVAB score you should wait a while.

what i dont think is like well.. its that you do all of this shit alllll of this and then u can die in a second in the battlfeild it makes everything worth nothing and i know this makes u strong enough so you will be better skilled not to die but still one wrong move and bam
