The only thing I don't like about Nerdcore is how people hate each other for "selling out." If you have something you love doing and some guy offers to pay you to do that, you would do it in a heartbeat. mc chris got into the Times for being who he is and everyone makes fun of him saying he sold out. Same thing with Mega 64, Penny Arcade and several other web series. So anyone who says they wouldn't sell out has just simply never been offered.

I liken it to the old days of garage punk bands. The artists may not be the most talented, nor will they probably ever be appealing to the general public-- but these artists have more heart and artistic integrity than 90% of consumer ready music.

And Nerdcore is not a joke. It is as legitimate as any other subgenre of hip hop. The South has crunk, the Bay has hyphy; geeks and nerds have Nerdcore.
