  • It was sad in a way that they died, but good to know that White Tip was alive to continue the line of Velcoraptors.

  • BLUEBROW GAVE HIS LIFE. FOR THE RAPTOR, HE LOVED.

  • 3:07 THEY SHOULD FEEL EMBARRASSED.

  • Damn Nature, U Scary!

  • @QuestionRenee Yup. You're right. There was a famous fossil of a Protoceratops with it's beak around a Velociraptor's forelimb. They fought to tge death and this show just made a hypothesis of what might of happened to create that fossil.

  • SHES ALL ALONE AGAIN :( THIS STORY IS SAD JUST SAD

  • @WarriorX9000 not really she still has her young.

  • this make me miss my velociraptor OC XD

  • Thanks of watching

  • 2 people were victims of the sand avalanche

  • @beegoodsam 2 people ?

  • I was reading this book, and it mentioned these, "Two fossils, entangled in a death grip for enternity", about two dinosaurs, I couldn't see a detailed picture and see what kind they were, but I think this story is losely based around those fossils.

  • RIP Broken Hand, Blue Brow, and the two nameless female raptors.

  • :)

  • Oh wow, I didn't realize it until I saw the fossils at the end, but we just witnessed a reenactment of of the last struggle of the infamous fighting dinosaurs.

  • you cut of a HUGE part i saw this on tv o.0

  • If there's one thing I'll take away from this series, it's that feathered dinosaurs love their jazz hands

  • I just have to say wow...

That was probably the best movie I have watched for a long time, Thankyou for uploading it ^^

  • no not the pack !!!!!!!!!

  • poor brokenhand

  • Not really. It has been shown that raptors were as smart as chickens.

  • @sharkbowl300 Yes really. As I've said b-4, Witmer lab studies have shown that advanced deinonychosaurs (E.g. Velociraptor) had similar brain structures to birds of prey.

  • While I do love Dinosaur Planet, this scene is already outdated. Velociraptor couldn't even peirce Protoceratops' skin, which was crocodile-like and tough. That fossil of the two fighting together, the Protoceratops attacked the raptor. It has been prooven that all ceratopsians were omnivores, and a Protoceratops could easily kill a Velociraptor

  • @sharkbowl300 1stly, AFAWK, Protoceratops' skin was no more croc-like than any other ceratopsian's. The croc skin was supposed to replicate ankylosaur skin. Besides, Manning et al's tests were flawed (Google "Oh no, a book review" & see the 25th comment).

2ndly, the omnivorous ceratopsians idea hasn't been proven, only suggested. Besides, omnivorous doesn't = predatory. Barrett (who suggested said idea), said so himself (Google "Tet Zoo picture of the day # 11" & see the 19th comment).

  • @JerkyD Triceratops mummies clearly show crocodile-like skin and quills similar the quills on psittacosaurus. They found predigested bones inside the stomochs of pachyrhinosaurus and one or two more ceratopsians plus unadapted stomochs suggest a life style like that of warthogs. They would gladly scavange dead animals, or even eat small injured animals. If the raptor was weak and injured then the Proto would gladly attack it.

  • @sharkbowl300 1stly, quoting Witton (Google "Charade you are by Mark Witton"), "skin impressions of large ceratopsians show they had scaled, leathery skin", not croc-like body armor.

2ndly, what credible sources back your Pachyrhino claim? AFAIK, none do. The only other person I've seen make the same claim is a poster in the Environ forum. Quoting Martin (Introduction to the study of dinosaurs, page 408): "No undoubted ceratopsid coprolites or even stomach contents have been found".

  • really why not just dig them out

  • @colonialmarineavp

    Dinosaur's aren't that smart.

  • @Bwaaderent but velioraptors were

  • Awww shes alone again, damn sucks... She has her babies now but more challenging to raise them alone with all them predators!!!

  • If velociraptors are bird like spiecies, does that also mean they're warm-blooded creatures?

  • @Naroiia The newest teory says they were "Luke-Warm Blooded." They could regulate they're body temp but, warm weather help them stay very active.

  • @Recteik That only applies to the large, scaley dinos. The small, feathered dinos were obviously fully warm-blooded.

  • Wtf??

"Once again, White Tip is on her own. But. She's not alone."

How the fuck does that makes sense?!

  • @gryphonprince Well the babies can't help her hunt or anything, but they keep her company.

  • @gryphonprince don't know

but i just don't make fucking sense indeed

  • @gryphonprince err have u thought of the "Not Alone" part as being her kids??

  • @cristinapetrisia

I have, I get the "she's not alone" part. But it says "she's on her own" but then it says "she's not alone" which contradicts the first half.

  • dam wat a targic ending but itz a real fossil find so its pretty legit.

  • All the dinosaurs are too vocal. Predators don't just stand in front of their prey and roar, and the pray roars back at them. It looks like they're negotiating or posing for the camera. Animals just don't behave this way. Other than that it's a great show and a great idea.

  • @RonLevie Even if they were to argue the vocalizations were distractions and intimidation to harry prey where they wanted it, if we're to take brain case studies of velociraptors seriously, they would never have been intelligent enough to have sophisticated pack hunting behavior in the first place. Brain to body weight puts velociraptors close to ostriches and emu in terms of intelligence.

  • @lefure I’m not even talking about the part they stole eggs, the roars serve a cause there. I’m talking about scenes tike with the lizard, where the velociraptor and the lizard are roaring at each other. And for example in part 2 minute 00:20 the predator and the prey are just standing in front of each other and roaring for no purpose. I think they gave the animators too much freedom, a paleontologist would have never suggested such a behavior.

  • @RonLevie That's the scene I was talking about. It looks like they were intending for the two female raptors to be keeping their attention while the other two flank and attack from behind, away from the frills and horns.

But I agree with you, this series has far too much vocalization for plausibility.

  • @lefure In measuring intelligence, brain structure is more important than brain size. Witmer lab studies have shown that advanced deinonychosaurs (E.g. Velociraptor) had similar brain structures to birds of prey, some of which hunt in wolf-like packs. To see what I mean, google "What if the asteroid had missed?" & "Rabbits Beware! Some Birds of Prey Hunt in Packs".

  • @JerkyD So far there's been no advanced studies of deinonychosaurs have concluded them to be more intelligent than ostriches or rheas. And even if they were as intelligent as birds of prey, the amount of birds of prey with coordinated hunting is extremely small, a tiny majority. No direct evidence yet to believe that either deinonychosaurs or dromaeosaurs in general had this capability.

  • That should be tiny minority.

  • @lefure 1stly (in reference to "no advanced studies"), Witmer lab disagrees. As Witmer explained in the relevant JFC episodes (E.g. "Raptor's Last Stand"), Witmer lab has CT-scanned several eudromaeosaurid skulls w/Troodon-esque results (Google "What if the asteroid had missed?").

2ndly, I wouldn't call "many raptorial birds" a "tiny minority" (Google "Social Foraging Classes in Raptorial Birds").

  • @RonLevie well in the dino era the loudest and biggest dino/pack won

  • Comment removed

  • i take that back about wishing to be blue brow

  • The battle of the protoceratops and Blue Brow is real. Those bones were found not long ago and it assured the theory of the raptor´s toe claw to be for puncturing the wind pipe or the prey, not to cut or slash it like in Jurassic Park.

  • 2:49 is like a dinosaur rodeo!

  • at 3:13 i heard a human screaming

  • back to being alone again.......

  • Big thanks 4 upload

  • rofl 3 packs already

  • Broken Hand stole White Tip's eggs. He had it comming.

  • 4:05 The Protoceratops just left their eggs for White Tip to eat! Why did they do that?

  • so cute

  • hey 38azn ! he say broken hands carcass is to peutrid to eat.

  • Poor broken hand :(

  • lol bluebrow and that bull protoceratops became that really cool velociraptor vs protoceratops fossi (ive seen that fossil)

  • come on they could of ate the dead body of broken hand

    whats wrong with being canibals?

  • the narrator said the carcus is too rotten ..i guess v raptors need fresh meat

  • it may have rotted enough to become an infected corpse

  • ZOMG! A ZOMBIE DINO

  • Wha?!Seiriously! She does NOT deserve that!

  • if bluebrow became a famous fossil, what happened to the other two? wouldn't they be found with him?

  • poor BlueBrow you will be missed

  • I feel so sorry for Blue Brown =( Damn, I wish White Tip just diged Blue Brown out of the sand, or that Blue Brown bite the damn protoceraptops' eye, so he let him go. Poor babies, never knew their father =(

  • however because he was buried the way he was, we have definitive proof that velociraptor hunted protoceratops

    it's sad though

before this i didn't really think about the terrible deaths some dinosaurs died to become fossils

  • Same =\ Blue Brown gave us the defenitive proof that they hunted protoceraptors out and offered his own life... lolwhut now I talk like Blue Brown knew that there'll come humans 0_x XD!

  • that's like saying a herd of centrosaurus jumped into a flooded river and died so humans could learn more about them

imagine if the dinosaurs knew we'd be coming

    that'd be pretty weird :D

  • Like they lived near a river?

Yeah it would be weird XD! But still then we wouldn't know that, dinosaurfossiles can't talk and can't write D= Mkay, gotta shut up 'till my fantasy crosses the normality-limit 0_x XD!

  • apparently a herd of centrosaurus were fossilized in rocks made from river sediments or something

they had to cross the river in a flood and some of them got swept away like the young or the old

that was proof they lived in herds

and in little das' hunt there was a volcanic eruption

charred dinosaur bones helped prove the volcanic eruption happened when the dinos were alive and they got caught in it

    poor dinosaurs :(

  • Poor Das D=! I always felt sorry for him ='( I was like: ''Go Das!!! You can escape that evil volcano!'' Das kinda looked like a hero, when he was burried as the las dinosaur in that vulcanoash =)

  • yeah

it's too bad he and his family were busy chasing buck and by the time they saw the pyroclastic flow many miles away, it was already too late :(

and the reason we know oviraptors were good parents is because some eggs and the oviraptor sitting on them were buried in sand and died :'(

  • Wait... I heard of White Tip's Journey that the oviraptors sometimes ate their own eggs 0_x! Those people thought that it was some eggs from a Protoceraptors, but then they said that it was the oviraptor's eggs.

  • the oviraptor was sitting on its own eggs but they found the first one near a nest of eggs that they thought came from a protoceratops

  • For some reason I usually can never really manage to watch the ending. I have to just stop watching before their attack on the protoceratops. It's not like the writers went out of their way to get anyone attached to the raptors (minus perhaps White Tip, considering she's the focus). Maybe it's just from my fear of being buried alive. Poor pack. :|

  • I remember seeing this on tv

  • I start to like feathered dinosaurs.

  • if only she would try to dig them out she culd have saved a few

  • she's not quite as smart as a person

    the sandslide confuzzled her

but i wish she had too :(

the other females weren't that nice to her though

  • white tip survived

  • I have to say that I like this episode series, overall. It is the 2nd best, after Pod's Travel. White Tip probably can make a good leader, as she was very smart in 'playing her cards' to get into the pack/assure her position.

  • i want those babies they are so fucking cute i mean look at them those poofy bodies and those cute little heads and faces, they are so adorable

  • Lolwhut, they won't be so 'poofy and cute' when they become adult XD! Know what u mean ;3

  • they ravenous killers that wanna rip yout guts out XD

  • listen to the scream at 3:12

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! that doesnt sound like a dinosaur

  • lolz no it doesnt!

  • it sounds like the protoceratops to me :P

  • i like how the raptors bob their heads when they walk lol

  • like pigeons!

  • wow thanks very much for bringing these videos to the middle AND NOT FINISHING THEM -.- thats like watching football and stoping the TV right when they are about to score a goal..

  • this is a good series

  • Those baby velos r lucky to have White Tip as a mother.

  • Can the author please delete Chaotix's pathetic brain squirts, on the grounds that he provides no substance to the comments and sparks no relevant discussion. In addition, he has since been banned.

  • I would've saved them too. And how could White Tip keep her chicks alive by herself if she wasn't a good hunter alone to begin with? So many questions...So little answers...

  • I would have digged my pack mates out of the sand. By the wya, your chicken speak and shit+keyboard=speak made my day

    U LIEK DEM MUDKIPZ!!!!!!!!

  • Even when you try to type correctly, it ends up looking like you shit on a keyboard.

  • Lmao, this made me LOL hard. Allen types better than you Chaox... when its not Chicken scratch... By the way, what IS Chicken scratch? o.O

  • It's actually hard to tell when you're doing the chickenscratch on purpose and when you're not actually trying to write poorly because you do, in fact, type horribly.

Stay in school, kiddies, or you'll end up like Whyte Boieeee here.

  • this is awesome and Chaotix your a dumbshit!!!

  • Thanks for uploading! :D

  • you know youre the first person to comment on any of these videos and you cant even say something positive?

  • oh i feel so ashamed...

    ur such an inspiration..

    druggie.

  • ok. ure not a druggie. ure just drunk?

  • Why don't you go back to elementary school and learn to spell, before you act like a smart-ass, you nitwit!

  • chaotix=a piece of crap that they thouth is alive so they stabilised it and there ya go!thats how chaotix was born

  • usukimidnight: dont try telling this crackhead a thing about school bcause its obviously way beyond him

  • Lol, you've got a point there. :P
