  • "Did that suck?"

    -"Of course." lol xD

  • could you upload it to megavideo ?

  • I'M NOT TRYING TO MAKE YOU HAPPY!

  • WHY CUT THE CLIPS? O_O People upload movies and some last for ages...I really wanted to see those clips...="(

  • NBC FUCK YOU!!!

  • surely the "fair use" rule applies to the clips??

  • No Australian will ever say "blimey".

  • @Sodhats I'm Australian ... and I say "blimey" all the time ...

  • @pubuman Well you're WRONG

  • @Sodhats Aye? ... I'm wrong about what I say? I'm pretty sure I know the words I say ....

  • blimey, mate! LOL

  • no clips of house = bored. *moving on*

  • i agree with flumberg.

  • Is it just me or has NBC entirely missed the point? You: "Hey, I want to show a clip that demonstrates just how good this NBC show is!"

NBC: "No! No! Hide the goodness! No one must know how good our show is!"

  • @Xiphias52 House is on FOX not NBC

  • @jenracski

Oh, okay. I live in Scotland, so I'm not clued in on American networks, but if you substitute 'FOX' for 'NBC' my point still stands, I think...

  • I love when James Lipton finally is forceful and says that the show is awesome and how great Hugh Laurie is because Laurie wouldn't admit it himself.

  • James Lipton is an absolute boss.

  • I wish i had the opportunity to tell Hugh Laurie what a masterpiece of acting and living he really is.

  • haha I love that quote- "If you look in the room around you and you can't find the asshole, then its you"

  • The deleted clips understandably had to be deleted (shame on Fox!) but this video loses so much without them! Boo, hoo. Oh well, still love hearing this interview with an extremely talented actor.

  • Haha this reminds me of when Will Ferrel was on SNL :D

  • Repost this with the clips!

  • what the hell?!? stupid copyright crap

  • Our life is a miracle, Life consists of small things. An endless chain of little things.

  • Amazing how NBC Universal have no idea how to promote their own product.

Hugh Lawrie seems such an eloquant, straightforward talented man.

Another great interview from an excellent series.

  • FUCKING CORPORATE BASTARDS. Like it´s going to make them lose any MONEY to show the clips, fucking suits.

  • I just LOVE his accent

  • how comes the black adder & other clips of him actin from the uk was ok to show but none of the house clips thats is just odd!!!! what a world !!! :( thanks for the up :)

  • NBC blows

  • if you can't see the ass-hole than it's you lol!

  • Thank you riebit for uploading this!

I can't really understand why people are complaining, moaning about why you would possibly cut out the clips...

You've kindly provided us with this - which I unfortunately would never get a chance to see if it weren't for these kind people that actually have the effort to cut out the copyright-haunted material and then upload it for viewer's pleasure (or whatever other reason there might be).

  • "if you look around the room and cant see the a**hole, then its you.

    brilliant

  • Why don't we see the clips?

  • probably cut out for "copyright" claims from FOX cause of youtube.

  • ya youtubes becoming a real asstube.

  • Because they don't have permission from Fox to air the House clips on the internet. We see other clips because they have permission to use them.

  • "I'm not trying to make you happy... Put that in your pipe and smoke it."

I always feel like I'm bordering on odd because of that I in fact, think Lipton a great interviewer and quite a likeable man. The general impression most people get of him is that he's smug and uptight, making a show that may seem pretentious, but I think it's a nice change from all the flashy interviews around... I don't mind an hour of just plain nerdy in-depth stuff about such a marvellous man as Hugh Laurie.

  • I cannot agree so strongly.

  • what does he say at 2:35? if you can't see XXXX? thanks so much!

  • "if you can't see the asshole then it's you"

  • ohh! haha!! :) Thank you!

  • "If you can't see the "asshole", then it's you."

  • Jeeves and Wooster? A Bit of Fry and Laurie? Stephen Fry?

  • really wanted to see those clips...

  • havent seen them all already on house?

  • yeah, but keeps the interview smooth if you can see what they're seeing. makes it seem a little choppy for some reason.

  • that clip would of just brought good publicity.

  • Thankyou for posting this. I wanted to say that I have never seen House, but after seeing this great interview I weould probably have started watching it, buying the DVDs etc........ if I had seen the clips of the show. But as NBC has moved them, I won't. So. NBC I dont know what your intention was but you have lost a potential fan.

  • The issue is not NBC, but Fox. House is a Fox show and NBC doesn't want to get sued

  • Fuck NBC

  • I don't see why cut the clips off.....next they'll cut the audio....

  • @SjPedro its copyrighted or something if they left it in the video the youtube video would be pulled

  • @SjPedro copyright

  • fricken copyrights...where are the clips??!?

  • I love how bashful he gets about Jennifer Morrison.

  • It's interesting that NBC objects to showing the House clips, but Bravo doesn't give a rat's ass that the rest of the show i on youtube....

  • Especially since House is a FOX show.

  • fuck this would be more enjoyable with the clips

  • aaah the deleted clips ruined the whole show

  • ZOMG!!!111 COPYRIGHT!!!!!111 NO ONE CAN EVAR VIEW OUR WORK IN ANY CONTEXT WITHOUT PAYING MOENYYYZZZ.

Sigh. Progress is ruined yet again.

  • I'm not sure why this comment has so many negative responses. It's called sarcasm, people. Thumbs up.

  • Read the video description, dumbass.

  • I want to watch the clips...why arn't they being shown?

  • Copyright issues. I had to cut them out.

  • Oh right. Sorry about that

  • yea no worries im sure most people know why u had to cut them out.

  • @riebit A shame, but I can certainly understand.

  • @riebit Uh..... there would be more copyright issues with you completely reproducing Actors Studio more than a couple clips. You make NO sense.

  • @riebit dont bravo enforce copyright?

  • @ahabthewhaler Luckily they don't seem to care ...

  • @riebit *SadFace*

  • @riebit Gotta Love YouTube

  • Lipton asks awful questions. This interview is terrible. Laurie tries his best to lift it.

  • This part is very funny, especially when he talks about his co-stars. I am so in love with Hugh Laurie!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • At the end of every house episode they have NBC Universal with the music....like the kind of thing they show at the beginning of movies

  • House is FOX, not NBC. So how does NBC claim copyright?

  • really if you look at all the networks they are entangled in all that legal stuff.

  • A weird jump but I recently heard Tina Fey from 30 Rock mention that House is "produced" if that's the correct term by NBC Studios and shown on Fox. She was answering a question about interference/censorship from the "network" and was making the point that she'd had had so little interference from "above" that she wasn't even sure if it would come from NBC the "network" or "NBC Studios". But I agree with ljhoeniges. I also think it's "legal people" justifying their own existence.

  • in essence, nbc made the pilot, but didn't pick up the show. fox wanted to show it, so in order to do so, they pay a fee to nbc, who still does the production of the show. fox will continue to air house as long as they continue to pay nbc.

  • I love him so much more now after watching this....

  • i fucking love hugh laurie

he seems so charming and funny and would be awesome to talk to about music

  • Lol when Hugh Laurie says "Oh Blimey Mate".

It was a pretty good Aussie impression.

  • it was pretty convincing.... i want to hear him say more. ;D

  • I do hope Americans realise that we Brits can produce wonderful talent and character, as indeed you can. This host of this show is wonderful.

  • I noticed that after...sorry about that.

Damn NBC doesn't know what's good for them. :)

  • Why'd he cut the clips they watch?

  • Because NBC Universal wouldn't let me post the video unless I cut out the clips (copyright infringement).

  • Thats too bad.

  • @riebit i hope you realize that nbc made an empty threat to you about the "copyright infringement." bravo had to get permission to air those clips on their show. the only permission you need is from bravo. it's called 3rd party copyright. it's bravo's responsibility to make sure nbc's copyrights aren't being infringed upon--NOT yours.

  • @bugglemuggle I hope you realize NBC Universal owns Bravo and thus showing clips to a show on FOX isn't about copyright infringement, it's about NBC not paying FOX the rights to air clips from their shows on the internet where revenue is generated from ads alongside videos.

  • @riebit What's weird is that NBC/Universal owns Bravo so they'll let you post the entire episode of Behind the Actor's Studio but not a few minutes of House M.D.?

  • @riebit what about BBC ? did they not care about Blackadder ?

  • thank you very much. When was this program recorded?

  • In 2006.

  • Earlier in this same program, they say "25 years ago, in 1982....", making this program a 2007 edition.

  • I think they were just rounding up. IMDB has it listed as airing in 2006.

  • Thank you so much for posting this!!
