the movie did have flaws yes. and no not everyone can get black belt in traditional karate like goju ryu, shito, ryu, wado ryu, and shotokan ryu. nahate and shurite which was displayed beautifully by sensei naka... look up his kumite in JKA very amazing karate. this movie had great sepai, basadai and other bunkai displayment in it. but you see karate is not for everyone it takes many years of training to have good karate like sensei naka.. im proud to have my kuro obi in hayashi ha shito ryu.

The message of the movie and the action is good ( apart from few scenas like when she fights with the whole dojo of black belts- well I guess they hold very dirty white ones but that's fine) than the girl should keep the Martial Art way but don't be an actress (not only she)... Master was wonderful in "Kuro Obi" movie, but here it's not the best... God if I talk to my Sensei like the girl does ...ahahah I don't even wanna imagine that :-)

I watched this movie last week. It was OK. Some awesome fighting but weak plot. To compare it to Chocolate is a little unfair. They are both martial arts movies with teenage female leads but plots are very different. (Chocolate was better IMHO)

Just finished watching this one today. Not a bad movie but they definetally could have relaxed on the replays.. And I understand they're going for the whole "Real Fight" coreography and making full contact most of the time but it does get a bit tacky at moments the way they do it, you just have to see it to understand what I mean. no stunt men, no wires, real kicks. yet some how this is the first film i just know there was no training in doing stunts or cheograpghy, the kicks look fake ie theres no skill behind them and you obviously know that theres no power behind them aswell as the punching. the movements are laboured and weak and the direction of the movie aswell as editing is well worthy of turkey of the year. how ever if this is the first attempt at all above then nice job. Otherwise wow they need to re do it all

actually, the kicks have no power because they're kicking for real. in a lot of scenes you can see the faces ripple from the impacts. any more than that and many amount of the knockouts would have been real too :p

that said, the punching WAS sub-par, especially considering what kuro-obi was like, and the constant replays made this basically a karateka ong-bak with skirts and and a bit more plot.

still extremely entertaining though, and some very painful techniques on some fight scenes

This is the first time in my whole life that i fastforwarded a fight scene. It look like a high end porno movie. I guess they filmed it with Canon digital cams and put a 35 mm adapter to make it look like film. It just looks like your 20k porno. But there was no porn. And the fights looked like someone held a video camera and filmed their 12 year old cousins staging a fight in their backyard. I am not saying dont watch it, but DONT pay any money for this shit.
