Modern consensus in the field of anthropology is that all human beings belong to the same subspecies. DNA analysis has shown there is greater variation within "racial" groups, than there is between them. You may not grasp the distinction I'm making. When we conpare differences between species, we are referring to genes that are exclusive to each species. But when we compare races to eachother, we are comparing genes that are specific only to those racial groups.

If you refer to these distinctions as biological racial ones, you must also keep in mind that they are superficial, that they are few in number and that they have not been linked with any major differences in intelligence. Even if there were differences in bone density, it wouldn't prove that there are racial differences in intelligence unless you can find a way to measure inherited determinants for intelligence. We don't know what all the genes for intelligence are, and we don't know to what extent that 15 point IQ difference is inherited. Anyway, IQ doesn't measure creativity or depth of thought.

@prschuster IQ75 means retardation in Whites because an IQ of 75 is usually the result of a pathology, white the IQ75 in Blacks is normal for a healthy individual. IQ75 is the mental equivalent of a White 10-year-old child of IQ100 (IQs are measured in adults only). 10-year-old kids are far from retarded, they can even fight wars fire AK47s (in Afghanistan or 1980s Iran, for example)
The idea that all humans are equal and not genetically varied is a religious belief stemming from the fact that "god made man in his image" and therefore, all men would be cut from the same mold. I find it absurd that atheists would blindly argue this point, when it has no base in science. Scientist have agreed that humans are more alike then we are different, doesn't mean that some populations haven't evolved differently than others. Just we haven't evolved to be all that much different.

Race is useful to describe roughly where a person's recent ancestors might have come from and how much sunlight they were exposed to - beyond that it get's hazy. I'm more interested in culture and behaviour - those traits are what make some people 'better' than others.

I should know because I'm Somali and I want to work as a computer programmer. East Asians and Ashkenazi jews have the highest average scores hence their overrepresentation in the professions.

Even if there were differences in bone density, it wouldn't prove that there are racial differences in intelligence unless you can find a way to measure inherited determinants for intelligence. We don't know what all the genes for intelligence are, and we don't know to what extent that 15 point IQ difference is inherited. Anyway, IQ doesn't measure creativity or depth of thought.

@prschuster IQ75 means retardation in Whites because an IQ of 75 is usually the result of a pathology, white the IQ75 in Blacks is normal for a healthy individual. IQ75 is the mental equivalent of a White 10-year-old child of IQ100 (IQs are measured in adults only). 10-year-old kids are far from retarded, they can even fight wars fire AK47s (in Afghanistan or 1980s Iran, for example)

First, it contains less authority and tend to give a voice to all different groups in society. This is almost not seen in any other culture as most are hierarchical and authoritarian. Second, they have a degree of secularism. Although this is true to some extent for some other cultures as well, in many, like Islamic and Hindu cultures, religion plays a pivotal role.

It is important to clarify that, whites do receive welfare at the same rate per capita as blacks.
