Angelite/ Huun- Huur-Tu / Moscow Art Trio- combined projects are really music that touches spiritual spheres you won't find in western europe. Cheap pop- radios ruined the sense for music besides the mass-compatible stuff. I am so happy to have found this kind of music!
what is going through my head: life is so wonderful. so complex. yet so simple. we all are united. one species. one planet. one universe. there is some kind of god. we are part of a consumerist society. we must go further. i must challenge the status quo. i love nature although i live in the city. nature is perfect. why is this music touching me? what language is that. wow no instruments.
It's about a Bulgarian woman who is tempted Fromm Ottoman ruler to take her in the his harem. The woman says that lying ruler of fun and that hanum will not become in his harem. Sad song ... for a freedom of personality.
@kirekirekireto Huun-Huur-Tu is a ethnic music group. This ethnic is located on the border of Russia and Mongolia. This song has nothing to do with Bulgaria.
@waldy0011 lol ur mad i clicked on the vid to hear huun-huur-tu but i hear that this is bulgarian music and huun-huur-tu and i'm from Bulgaria how can u tell 1 Bulgarian that its not on his language :D think a bit be4 writing
@drunkestdude PLS learn reading and thinking before you open you on an redundant comment. You will noting find about Bulgarian language in my blog, right stupid boy. As a Bulgarian you must know how many different languages is used in your country. I'm living in East-Asia for some decades, incl. both of Mongolia and I understand most of there different languages of this part. And PLS do not boreing me anymore, thanks
oh, MY God, that was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I started learning how to Kargyraa throat sing, and I cam upon this! Absolutely AMAZING! I'm falling asleep to it tonight!
After each of these lines, there is another line sung, which is a kind of tongue-twister:
"Гуй, гуй, гугуте, гукай, думай, гълъбе"
"Coo, coo (i.e. what pigeons do, note the musical onomatopoeia in the singing here), pigeon (vocative case), coo and tell (imperative), pigeon (vocative case)"
@EnumaRos it's pretty hard because it's old bulgarian but i'll give it a try ;) Basicly through all the song, a couplet is repeated 3 times, and after each phrase they repeat "Gui, gui, gugute, sing, talk, pidgeon" [roughly] So, here it goes: Iana turk lied x2 Gui, gui, gugute, sing, talk, pidgeon As a joke she lied x2 Turk to Iana talked x2 "Let's go Iana" x2 "To my white palace(saray)" x2 Iana to turk talked x2 "I won't become a wife(hanama)" Not the best, but you get the basic idea :)
@malkooth :) you just cant accept the fact that this music makes you sad and vulnerable and thinking that its makes you "weak". let it go "though" guy. you have a soul too.

The lyrics (literal translation):
"Yana (a girl) was lying to a Turkish man.
She was lying to him jokingly.
The Turk told Yana:
Yana, let us go
to my white palace (sarai in Turkish/Persian)
Yana told the Turk:
I will not become a ханъма (married Turkish woman)"

-гугут and гълъб are different types of pigeon
-The whole lyrics are repeated three times in this song (the last two lines are skipped the third time).
-I have no idea what language the man is singing in. I catch some slavic words ("sestra bratu" for example). Any ideas?
-It is interesting that they are using musical onomatopoeia here, which is also very common in Tuvan throat singing.
-This song is originally from western Bulgaria. To see an archive record of it, google "Iana e tourchin lugala"
