I think it served it's purpose. The beginning wasn't meant to be "boring," just a dramatic build-up. I like what you did. Nice montage.

The music kinda needs to be more...well.....interesting.....the part from 0:00-0:55 is boring, and even the action music ish parts are not as cool as they should be. But that's just my opinion.
