i've live in Redwood City right now since august 2001 and i will never leave it.

now that we have the theatre it attracts alot of people from other places but alot of youth came along and now there is some gang activity going on ='(

I lived in Redwood City from the time I was born ('84) until 2001 when I relocated to Pioneer, CA. I'm surprised at how much has changed since I left.

Wicked! It's wonderful to see the positive transformation of Redwood City - home to Electronic Arts, Oracle, PDI Dreamworks, county seat of San Mateo, awesome people, and free toilet replacement offered by the city. The downtown definitely needs more hip, quality restaurants for lunch, dinner and after work chilling to fuel all the techies and fabulous people like me. Bring on risotto al nero di seppie, dim sum, bi bim bop, banh mi, miso crusted black cod, and fugo!

I lived in and around Redwood City from 1965 (my birth) until December of 1990, so I know a lot about the city from that period. When the Internet first started to take hold in the late 1980s, rents got far too high to live there and my family picked up and moved to San Diego North County. I miss it a lot.
