Agree, Natalie Dessay - is a miracle! Has a miracle voice! When I am listening aria from Lakme in her interpetantion, I cannot understand how is possible to sing so high sky notes with no tense...like she is not putting any effort to get them...

She is amazing, great! I hope, at least once, I would have an opportunity to listen her singing and watch her performance - life.

Ahhhhhh Natalie when she was a vocal Goddess...when I hear her at her prime she always makes me think that she was the reincarnation of Jehny Lind. She is the greatest pure coloratura soprano of the last 50 years.

-Her acting though was always a bit of a second class exaggeration ;)

I am also so glad she has been moving into the more dramatic roles with her development of a slightly lower pitched, but richer voice. She has been a great Lucie for quite awhile now, but her recent Sonnambula with the Met was awesome in both her acting and singing.

her acting was always spastic and retarded from sec one... always moving like crazy onstage (the one and usual mistake young actors do in their effort to "fill up" the stage and then she started jumping on tenors and doing ridiculous things that she considered fabulous acting - obviously also some of her fans)

She was in her prime one of the greatest light coloraturas and also one of the worst and most ridiculous actresses the opera stage has even seen

Does it make you feel like a bigger person that you can insult people much, much larger and finer than yourself? Or what? Dessay herself would never speak about anyone the way you do. Maybe that itself is a tiny part of the reasons she has so much respect from so many people.

When an artist becomes atrocious onstage his/her actions should be described as such. I understand that you love her etc but actually love doesnt mean seeing someone hoing onstage with her tits out ! and saying Brava Brava... that is the worst form of Malice ;) Think if she were your close friend or relative would say brava to her?
