You don't judge a fight by who throws the harder punches. It is the frequency of, connect rate of, submission attempts, & knockdowns. Other than that one punch in RD 1,Forrest outworked him and won because of it. The Judging was consistent.

I don't think at all that is was a unanimous decision, but I think the reason Forrest got more points was just cuz he was more aggressive. Yeh one or two of the judges gave him round one which i do disagree with. It was either a 10-9 or 9-9 at the worst for rampage. he scored a knock down but forrest was winning the round. forrest dominated 4 maybe 4 n half minutes of round one. a knock down is a knock down though. Griffin wasted the mount for 4 minutes in the second round. He had Rampage on one leg and still couldn't finish. His punches were more like slaps and after the second his kicks were either dodged or blocked. Other than the second round rampage landed the more solid hits. Like rampage said: "If your gonna beat the champ you got to beat the champ but hey it was unanimous. I'm not a judge" Two wack elbows from a 4 min mount.
Forrest won the fight, Rampage landed a good shot in the first round but Forrest out struck him throughout the fight. Rampage hit harder but he didn't land enough. Round 2 was a complete domination, at no time in the fight did Rampage do that to Forrest. Ring rust wasn't a factor, Rampage had 9 months off but Forrest had 8 months off. The fact that Griffins face looked worse had nothing to do with it, Griffin has more scar tissue than Rampage. I like Rampage but he did get beaten.

Octagon control for one thing, In round 2 Griffin was completely dominant, even when rampage had forrest down later in the fight it was Griffin who attempted a submission. The stand up was controled by forrest's foot work - Rampage has harder shot's but Griffin denied him the opportunity to land a ko blow. 48 46 Griffin.

Griffin landed 3 quick knees into Rampages torso with 2 seconds left in the match.

You don't judge a fight by who throws the harder punches. It is the frequency of, connect rate of, submission attempts, & knockdowns. Other than that one punch in RD 1,Forrest outworked him and won because of it. The Judging was consistent.

I don't think at all that is was a unanimous decision, but I think the reason Forrest got more points was just cuz he was more aggressive. If Rampage had made Forrest fight him instead of the other way around, as much as I love Forrest, he woulda gotten knocked out. I think it was a split for Forrest, but I do think we need to see a rematch. The reason they didn't stop the Lytle fight was cuz he could still see, as long as his vision isn't distorted they wont stop the fight, but FUCK KOSCHECK

Any other fighter would have taken advantage of that four minute mount and forrest only got two clear elbows and wasted that mount.Any other fighter would have taken advantage of that messed up leg but forrest just threw some weak punches(slaps) and and some kicks that were mostly blocked. Yeh one or two of the judges gave him round one which i do disagree with. It was either a 10-9 or 9-9 at the worst for rampage. he scored a knock down but forrest was winning the round. forrest dominated 4 maybe 4 n half minutes of round one. a knock down is a knock down though. I feel like everyone was watching the fight seeing griffin punch rampage ten times and then rampage connecting and when he connected with his few punchs of the fight, everyone went wow hes powerful he wins.

Round 2 was a perfect example of laying & praying. Forrest understood he could do jack shit to harm Rampage standing aside from pussy leg kicks. Round 5 was questionable and could go either way. Give the champ the benefit of the doubt. 3-2 for Rampage or 2-2 and an even round — a draw.

Griffin wasted the mount for 4 minutes in the second round. He had Rampage on one leg and still couldn't finish. His punches were more like slaps and after the second his kicks were either dodged or blocked. Other than the second round rampage landed the more solid hits. Like rampage said: "If your gonna beat the champ you got to beat the champ but hey it was unanimous. I'm not a judge" Two wack elbows from a 4 min mount.

Forrest won the fight, Rampage landed a good shot in the first round but Forrest out struck him throughout the fight. Rampage hit harder but he didn't land enough. Round 2 was a complete domination, at no time in the fight did Rampage do that to Forrest. Ring rust wasn't a factor, Rampage had 9 months off but Forrest had 8 months off. The fact that Griffins face looked worse had nothing to do with it, Griffin has more scar tissue than Rampage. I like Rampage but he did get beaten.

I know how fights are scored I'm an mma fighter. Rampage won the 1st round I don't disagree but there's alot more to the scoring system than the amount of blows landed. Octagon control for one thing, In round 2 Griffin was completely dominant, even when rampage had forrest down later in the fight it was Griffin who attempted a submission. The stand up was controled by forrest's foot work - Rampage has harder shot's but Griffin denied him the opportunity to land a ko blow. 48 46 Griffin.

I want to see a re-match. It's obviously Griffin took more damage than Rampage, just look at their faces. Going into round 5, most people agreed that the winner of round 5 would win the fight, even the announcers. As far as punches, kicks and knees landed into their opponents non-arm regions in round 5 alone: I counted that Griffin landed 24 and Rampage landed 22. Griffin landed 3 quick knees into Rampages torso with 2 seconds left in the match.

i wanted foest to win but i thought rampage would win then i seen the fight and clearly watch forest prove himself the only thing i disagreed with the whole ppv was chris lytels fightt not getting stopped, sure it was a good fight but man was fucked. oh did anyone else hear joe rogan call the cut on chris's head a goats vagina then mike goldberg say "you just said that over the mic" lol.

are you guys blind? Did you watch the same fight that was televised? Forrest outpaced and outmoved Rampage nearly the entire fight. The last 3 rounds were very close, but Griffin had the edge virtually the entire time. Rampage could barely stand for more than 2 rounds because of his knee...

Rampage dropped Forrest with bricks to the head at least 3-4 times.The only round i'd give to Forrest is the 2nd round where he landed 3 leg kicks, however, Jackson recovered pretty fast.Towards the end of the fight Forrest didn't even really throw any punches as it seemed they had no effect on Jackson whatsoever.After the fight Forrest even said that every single punch Rampage threw hurt him???BTW, when did Joe Rogan have his lips surgically attached to Forrest's nutsack??This REEKS of scandal.

Rampage said in the post fight interview that he won and like what I thought that Forrest only won rounds 2 & 5! Rampage clearly won round 1, Forrest clearly won round 2 (maybe 10-8), what did Forrest do in rounds 3 & 4? Not much except he took most of the best hits from Rampage and Rampage did damage to his face, Forrest probably won round 5 which was close! Forrest didnt do enough to earn the title IMO and therefore Rampage should still be champ!

If rampage did not suck so bad in the second round he could have won the fight but he got his ass handed to that round and the first round was close because rampage was not the agresser and forrest landed more but it was close because of the knock down by rampage.

round 2 - griffin hands down
round 3 and 4 are both up cause they both landed blows and griffin put him in a triangle and 99% of an arm bar
round 5 - griffin landed more hits wether it was kicks or not he landed more and controlled more till rampage put out his despartion punches in the last 30 seconds

How often in any contact sport do they give the decision of a Championship bout to the contender? Almost never! I think UFC is looking for a "Golden Boy" and the fact that Griffin was apart of the launch for Ultimate Fighter, a judge on the same show and a underdog, it fits for a good fucking story. No matter how obvious a decision is, if a fight goes to the judges it will always be contoversial and there will always be idiots who complain because they placed bets on the person they were so sure would win. Griffin won by unanimous decision. Pay up and get over it.

winner rampage or a draw. rampage landed the shots griffin landed the kicks to the leg. rampage blocked all the kicks and punches to the upper body and went clubbing after the fight. griffin needed a mexican wrestling mask if he wanted to go out.
