@yamahankaren21 already had a 02 banshee. Was fast but sucked for trail riding, like slow riding was constantly clutching to keep power up. I was a 2 stroker for most of my life, it's time for a change and I love the KFX 450r. The EFI is friggin awesome. No fiddling with carbs. New intake and EFI tweak and I keep up with my buds Raptor700 plus I have an awesome trail quad. Keep the rubber side down.
Love both these quads. I personally prefer the kfx due to the fact that I race supermoto, but raptors are swains drag/ trail bikes. And if you want to make the race fair take it to he grass. Kfx gets less traction on gravel than the raptor due to it's lighter weight.

racing a 450 on dirt is a waste of time.. 450's are animals on it. raptor has too much torque for this.. and some of these people, im tellin ya.. going fast is about how you gear youre quad.. every single atv i get, automatically gets a gear. and these peoples with these ltr's make me laugh, slow piles of trash off of a track is exactly what an ltr450 is.

@brety099 they're about the same. My buddy has a kfx450. It seems doggish compared to the 700 imo. Its snappier, but the 700 has amazing torque. The 450 had the speed advantage because it had 22" tires on. If you really want to whoop your friend, get a 450 dirt bike.

typical..the kfx is much more nymble and light giving it a quicker start. and also the 450's all rev much higher and have higher compression and the compression ratios are pointed more towards racing making it faster
May I ask why you think that? Both are fuel injected and both have reverse. I would say the 450 has a better suspension...maybe your taking about the torque advantage of the 700...but a tooth drop in the front solves that for under 10 bucks...

i bought an 08 kfx 450r raced a raptor 660 on pavement beat him by five lenghts in a quarter mile, same with a yfz 450 beat him by bout the same distance, then i raced a banshee with a big bore kit and exhaust (cant remember the exact size) and he was only a half a length behind me. there all good but i prefer kfxs. im a kawasaki man.
i bought an 08 raptor 700 and then about a week later my friend got a kfx 450r. both bikes are good machines and very quick. we broke em in together and of course train and race against each other. both stock they are neck and neck, whoever gets the better jump off the line or shifted better would win. mods will change this outcome but the kawi has balls man and so does the raptor

YFZ for sure. havent ridden them but just from what i hear its clear the yfz is beter. but can am has only had that machine for 2 years so i would expect the yfz to be beter

i know that 450's are lighter, but still how can they beat or come really close to the 700r, you would think 686cc would be alot more powerful and faster than a 450 but i guess not.

The 700r is build more for just a quad that is fast and to have fun on but the 450's are built more for racing. More power through a smaller bore. I'm getting a 450 just because they're light but I'm trail riding haha.

the 450s are generally more higher compression too. The 700 is about 9:1, a 450 can be around 13:1

i put two brothers m-7 and that fucker sounds nice and give more power but thats only me my raptor is all stock and my kfx 450 have um nerf bars and front bumber and that pipe and then i got elka shocks

i have a 2007 Raptor 700 And a 2008 KFX450 ive had so much trouble out of my KFX that i havent really got to ride it but my 700R is powerful though the kfx is to in about 500 Feet it will bust my 700R's ass off the line...

well thelostboy24 ur a fucking dumb ass cuz the 450R KFX is the fastest racing quad out there that is stock so u can take that 700 raptor and shove it up ur ass. yes the 450R is only 449cc but its 100 times lighter than the 686cc raptor. and to all u fags out there who think the kfx can get beat by anothere 2008 stock quad then ur fucking idiots. i do own a kfx 450R and for its 10200 dollar pice tage its one of a kind.

your the dumbass razer3c1 for paying 10,00 dollars for the bike in the first place i payed 7,000 for my kfx 450 so u got fucked i like them both... i like the 700R for trail riding and the kfx450 for the track.. so ur an idiot if u think a kfx450 will out run a raptor down a black top road on top end it just isnt gonna happen the kfx is all bottom end... oh yeah by the way try racing a yfz450 and get back to me you obviously have been racing warriors and blasters lol haha fuck you!!!

@Thelostboy24 im talking stricktly quads not dirt bike u fucking noob. the kfx 450R is the top of the line racing quad of 08 and 09 and im pretty sure 2010 to.yes its a 450cc but its light weight illuminum chasy and parts makes it a fuck of alot lighter. and its the fastest as in top speed for all stock racing quads. i do my hw b4 i drop alot of money on something for only entertainment, not that 10 grand is alot or anything just spending wisley.
