Yuppies are often the sons and daughters of working class people who worked in those industrial sites. Their children may be future Jonathan or Joannathana Meadeses. Better than Thunderdome, right?

I love Meades but he has to recognise that he's a self-loathing Englishman. Not everything he thinks so bad about England is true. Example: Heysel, where he compares Liverpool with Marseilles. Fact: Liverpool has cleaned up. Fact: Marseilles remains one of the nastiest shitholes in Europe, certainly in France.
