I don't know about the rest of the guys but I have read that Eric was a formerly taught. He started on the viola I believe. In fact he attended I believe the royal academy for music in the UK. He branched out along to way to play the guitar (of course) the mandolin the piano.
Question I have to ask: Did Les actually know how to play guitar - at all? Seems like he's always "faking" and never played live in concert, other than singing of course.
