yes, there are verse that mention fighting but all those verses come with conditions. and it explains who the enemies are, its not general at all, for ex. see (60:01) the enemies of god and me in this verse are those attacking us muslim and driving the prophet and his campanions out of their homes for the sole reason that they believe god is one. so allah says fight them in jihad. then in that same chapter read verses 7 through 9. this should put thing in context if your an honest person.

What I am saying, if you want to accuse Islam and its way of life that offers for human kind, you must look at your own societies first and compare it. we pray and clean our bodies five times a day. We pray and take breaks 5 times a day from the chaos out there. We fast the whole day, 30 days a year to know the value of food and water. etc...
Islam when lived as a benign personal path, gets good marks because its demands are only upon the faithful themselves. But as a political entity and boss of society (as in Islamic nations), my experience in Muslim nations from Central Asia to the Middle East has shown me that despite various benefits there are also issues about Islam as overlord of an entire society, that are far less palatable.
i dont understand why banned minarets, It is just a tower right? An architecture expression? i just dont get it. It is just like banning a roman arch?
Isnt that the same with church bells or even a clock tower. If the reason is because of the sound of prayers, shouldnt the banned be upon the actual prayers, or the actual sounds. I mean to limit the sounds or whatever. banning the minarets doenst stop the prayer from being heard from a speaker inside the mosque right? i just dont get it.

Muslim Empires in history allowed the Abrahamic faiths to practice,live and work in the Empires 'only' under conditions (Dhimmitude) and tribute. Muslims saw themselves as overlord,and Dhimmi power to dictate politics,society and culture was limited. Europe could adopt such a system to remind Muslims who's land this is? yes, there are verse that mention fighting but all those verses come with conditions. and it explains who the enemies are, its not general at all, for ex. see (60:01) the enemies of god and me in this verse are those attacking us muslim and driving the prophet and his campanions out of their homes for the sole reason that they believe god is one. so allah says fight them in jihad. then in that same chapter read verses 7 through 9. this should put thing in context if your an honest person.

Islam when lived as a benign personal path, gets good marks because its demands are only upon the faithful themselves. But as a political entity and boss of society (as in Islamic nations), my experience in Muslim nations from Central Asia to the Middle East has shown me that despite various benefits there are also issues about Islam as overlord of an entire society, that are far less palatable.
