By the way, I have a VIZIO as well :) I guess I wasn't sold on the 1080i Sony 60mhz 42in @ $2000. I figured out the VIZIO 1080p 120mhz 55in @ $1500 was the better buy. Call it rocket science if you want...
I'm not really a "brand" buyer, I like quality and value. So far, VIZIO is dominating that category :)
If you have a good connection, you'll fall in love with Netflix streaming. It'll save you tons of rental fees(and as it used to be in my case, late fees) and the TV episodes are awesome. Complete seasons of many shows for basically free. Under $15 gets you two movies in the mail and unlimited online...that same price will get you three movies once from Blockbuster. Up to you :)
thx for the video.. but Iam not going to get this roku. I want HD streaming content which is not compatible with this[for now 12/08]. I just called netflix to confirm that. I would wait for the next version
haaahahahah , I saw Vizio and I cringed (working at bestbuy) lol, and then I heard you say ... " yes, I have a vizio and I know its cheap and cheesy .... " hahahahahah ... at least you have good taste though, I plan on getting the roku, if not, I will just wait till Netflix comes on my xbox360.
Actually, I spend 90% of my time watching TV. I'm on Season 3 of the office, Season 1 of Dexter, Season 1 of Weeds, been watching The History Channel programming, Heroes, Law and Order, Inked, Dead Like Me, Coupling, and Airline Season 1.
Every now and again I watch a movie but it's not a regular thing.
Oh, and for TV that is not on netflix, I use Miro (bittorrent) and of course, have rabbit ears for free TV OTA.
$9 is the most anyone should spend on TV. Don't forget your free library card!
Now if there was only a way to save these videos to a hard drive.

Ok, but does it prevent online account throttling that is currently being done by netflix? if not, it's useless.

Bye bye Dish Network, hello Netflix player and $80/month savings! The cable/satellite providers have got to be scared to death of this device.
I'm getting such value out of my $9/month now. What a deal!

Yeah but I also think people need to know that the $9 isn't in addition to your regular netflix account payment
