  • I adopted a wobbly when she was 9 weeks old... she's now 3 years and is a fun, lively cat - still wobbly but it doesn't stop her hunting down and murdering the house spiders! ;D

  • is this the typical presentation, or is it a more severe form? I found a feral kitten a few months ago and she seems to have some of this, though not all the time. mostly she just has a really wobbly head. I found her with a broken leg, so she limps a little, but I'm not sure if that's from the leg (since it's only been three months) or from this disorder. the vet things she's seven months old now. is there a test for this type of thing...??

  • what are the chances of survival?

  • thank god its not feline distemper

  • How old were the kittens here?

  • @Darkdazeys This is right after they were found in a box outside the shelter. They were about 8 weeks old.

  • CH is a life-long condition. In the human world it would be what is known as cerebral palsy. Over time most cats figure out how to compensate for the disability and can manage fine. There are cases though where the cats are unable to stand due to the severity of the condition. With the proper owner CH cats live lives just as long as a regular cat and bring lots of laughs as they tumble about.

  • What a sin they are so cute and I feel sorry for their condition...does this condition pass in time or is it with them for life?

  • This is a very thoughtful effort on your part.

I wish we had more serious cat lovers like you out here.

    Thank you for your efforts.♥

  • Oh, I'm so glad you placed the little guys with good owners. I've found homes for many rescue kittens in my time. Four of them found a home with me, as a matter of fact! Do your part, people: spay, neuter, and vaccinate your animals!

  • Not wanting to sound cruel, but they should be thankful most humans have the concept of taking care of creatures in their situation. If they were feral and out in the wild, I shudder to think how many would be abandoned by their mother (yes she would do it) and left to starve to death. I own cats my self and they can have a real survival of the fittest attitude.

  • aii mi amor,,, qe hermosos qe son,,

  • Wobbly Kitten can be caused by toxins to the mother or the kittens. I see the kittens are already sporting flea collars. Was the mother also?

  • Those are just shelter ID collars. The video description has all the information about CH.

  • thats like killing children with cerebral palsy, kittens with CH needs a chance in life as well as we people do.

  • Great that they all found homes.

A snort of laughter escaped me at 0:48 when one kitten -- the most affected by CH, it seems -- enters by abruptly flopping into the scene. I feel a little bad, but it is funny.

  • That's my baby girl, Roxy! She's all grown up now and has much better balance although still quite wobbly. I keep trying to respond with her video but it won't let me for some reason :(

  • its wonderful to see these little guys. i had a CH for 4 years and she died last year. she had a very severe case, she was the shakiest of all her siblings, i even had to take her away from her mother and bottle feed her she barely survived, but in adulthood she was very healthy and spunky. when he died she went into seizures and eventually died on the way to the hospital, i never did figure out if her death was related to her condition. if anyone has any info on this it would be appreciated.

  • i had a kitten with CH - he was much worse than any other CH kitty i've heard of. he stopped walking at about 4 months, but was the sweetest little guy you could ever want. i'm a vet tech, so i was able to express his bladder and syringe-feed him for a long time. he started having seizures a little after his first birthday, and we had to put him to sleep aug 1. it was very sad - he was such a joy.

the seizures tend to be a result of the CH, as far as i can tell.

  • and dizzy is my baby the one to the right...she has grown up to be a beautiful cat and she is the queen bee in my flock of cats. she is not afraid of anyone even thought she cannot walk like the others. she has become my favorite cat. she is check my videos

  • I have a CH cat. He is so smart and wonderful! Thanks for sharing.

  • aww :) it looks like they're dancing LOL

  • very cute kitties =]

  • These babies are adoreable. I wish my CH Amy had a companion CH kitty but I am at my limit right now. They are so loaded with personality and determination that I have learned many things about setting goals and not giving up from my CH Amy.

  • My mother once found a kitten with FCH on the street and took it home. We named her Monste. Vets gave her a few months life but she ended up living 7 years, she even had her own litter of beautiful kittens. A wonderful mother, and the truth is that as she got older she found ways to cope with the shaking.

  • they are very sweet.

take good care of them :)

  • So sad :(

  • It's not sad, what's sad is that a lot of vets don't realize that kittens with CH can grow to live relatively normal lives, and as a result a lot are put down. Cats with CH don't know there's anything wrong with them. :)

  • oh God this really brought me to tears :-(

  • Consider adopting one. They are so normal in every other way and they learn good techniques for coping as they get older.

  • Wow...I never knew the condition existed and I have 6 cats. Thanks for sharing !!

  • My kitten with this neuroligical problem was 5 months when I got her and copes well considering her balance and co-ordination are awful. I sometimes wonder if its fair to her she takes so many bumps and falls but when I see how happy she is playing with her toys I think well at least 'I've given her a chance in life'

  • So strange to see wobbly cats - they are the animals I've always thought of as being the most poised. Very sweet kittens, glad they have wonderful homes now.

  • OMG THIS IS SO SAD :'(

  • Stop shaking the cage! LOL

Here is our post of a kitten with similar symptoms:

    /watch?v=xLlL24shW7E

  • my cat had kittens and 1 of them was wobbly. she isnt in any pain because she is soooooo playfull and always running round

  • aww poor kittens.. Im glad they found good homes

  • Thats great =]

  • Wow. Its so sad to see them like that.

They arent in pain right? Just...wobbly?

  • No pain from the condition, but they can fall or bump into things. They do best in homes with carpetting. All three have been adopted to great homes, by the way!

  • i have a kitten with ch, shes also showing signs of seizures, do u no of any ch kittens who fit with the condition or is it a seperate condition?

  • yes,very happy,they have a good home.

  • The seizsures are a different condition which could have many causes. They should be checked by a vet. For more info you can try the website chkittyclub
