Actually it wasn't Germany that got its ass kicked during the second world war. They were defeated yes. Got their ass kicked? No. Germany had 12 million casualties while the allies had 60 million. I'd say Germany kicked the allies asses 5 times over. The only reason the allies won was numerical superiority. They were an inferior fighting force to the Reich.
