  • I will be posting a pad version of this very soon. If I'm not breaking any copyright laws I will post the music with my markings and stickings. This is the most famous/Important/musical piece ever written for solo snare drum. K. That being said, you can't fudge on time here. The piece is mostly quiet. CONTROL. Look at phrasing. You have to pulse the phrase lines, phrases, measures, beats, and decide if you think Delecluse wrote French rolls to show breaks before the next note or if they all tie

  • it sounded good, but your pinky sticks out a little

  • @seltzerdka pinky's don't matter

  • @miniminime17 well they do, but not as much. imo it just makes you look bad if you tea party the sticks

  • Bit faster than I play it 0_0 Great job!

  • I played this one for my Berklee audition. worked awesome. (:

  • How good of a school is Berklee? I feel I play this quite well after only 3 days and im a sophomore in high school? Is that advanced to be playing delecluse in 10th grade or is the piece just that good?

  • in terms of quality, it's an OK-school. The biggest perk is the networking and the connections the school has. This piece is something you would perform in front of a jury by the end of your first semester if you're a drum principal

  • So lets say I wanted to get into a good conservatory or school of music, would playing delecluse as a sophomore in highschool be a good level?

  • @fcmilsweeper9 If you are really playing it and not just hacking through it, yes

  • hola un saludo desde colombia es la mejor version de todas las que he visto m sirvio mucho para mi examen.

  • im preparing this for an audition and this will help me a bunch. very nice job as i embark on the etude.

  • I enjoyed it! Nice to hear this piece played.

  • This is really good... Superb tone and 6/8 feel. I really like youre sound in the soft passages!

Perhaps it´s the microphone on the camera, but i think the mf´s is overall to loud, or at least you could spread out the crescendos. And it it seems that your inner clock is sometimes rushing. But still, you sound really great, this is just details. Btw: look what happens to your posture when you start to play...

    Greetings from Sweden!
