I hated most of 'Kerplunk!' mostly due to the cardboard-box thin sound in the mixing, and then I only enjoyed about seven of the eight-teen songs in '21st Century Breakdown.' I feel like I got ripped-off with 'American Idiot' in comparison hearing what was possible for 'Cigarettes and Valentines'. ('Dreamcatcher', 'Olivia', and then the title track.) And I didn't care much for the Foxboro album. Even though it did seem like it had a rawer edge.
