  • I find this ironic because this is telling people to password protect with wpa and in related videos there is a how to crack wpa video. Gotta love youtube!

  • how did they do that?

  • would a password be good enough protection

  • Does anyone know the name of the song starting at 2:17? I've been looking for it for centuries, please help! Thanks :)

  • Sooo this doesnt actually tell you anything useful. It just tells you that wireless networks are insecure, which I'm sure everyone already knows. What are you supposed to do to keep people from doing this?

  • LOOOL

Can any1 tell me what program he used?

  • @Kdiil99

Pick a operateing system. To crack the encryption you would need to use aircrack or something similar (despite the video's title, WPA can also be easily brute forced with a large dictionary and a fue video cards). Once cracked its not that easy to simply view all traffic. So you will have to use a number of redirection and stripping attacks to view the data. Overall its not scriptkiddie friendly so if you want to learn install linux pentest distro and read a fue books on the subject.

  • oh... clouding will be such a hackr paradise

  • Aren't you guys supposed to show how to prevent these accesses rather than how to accesses other's network.

  • Great Asian women for you ***lushfmlk.info***

  • WPA-PSK and WPA2 is easily crackable if you use an insecure password.

A secure password would be 13 characters minimum, made up of random letters and numbers.

  • @LagSpike Only if your password is "password" or "admin", I guess.

  • Comment removed

  • @Locustfiretree if its not completely random letters and numbers it can be cracked with some software quite quickly, many processors are able to try 1000 keys per second, meaning it will take less than 4 minutes to go through the entire Oxford English dictionary.

  • No Way.. so WEB is not good to use.. thanks for the video.. i will never leave my wireless with no password.,. or i will never use web.. so it looks like WPA and WPA2 are better then web,, Thanks for your help..

  • @redsolja1 WEP* :)

  • ah shit cant av people hacking in

my wireless is protected the signal cant leeve a few rooms, thick concreted walls and metal beams stop them dead in their track. bastard if u want 2 use it upstair though ahhaha

  • You can see in his face, he's wondering if they saw all that kitty porn he's been watching.

  • I would have beat that guy's ass for snoopin around in my shit.

  • IT DOESN'T WORK!

  • DjiEnn you must be the RETARD. How about we meet so then you can call me a retard face to face

  • Ha Ha i love these programs.

hold on i'll hack in toy your network using IE 6!

anyone interested in learning about breaking into wireless go and google "backtrack 4"

  • what software was they using

  • the software is called "MyFirstHackSoftware I R Retard for asking".

  • @doggyme1 Not sure what they are using but Backtrack is Linux os live, with the necessary tools to crack wep . Once you gain access to the network using a software called "cain and able" you can launch a man in the middle attack and intercept all data from the targeted machine on the network like they did in the video and see what sites are being visited as well as logins and passwords.

  • What is the best way to protect your computer from other servers gaining access to the provider of the internet? I seriously didnd't have a clue people could gain access to your info. I have a laptop and a computer in my house. The computer obviously provides me access to the internet, but does this mean other computers can gain access and does this mean my internet is "unlocked"?

  • these guys are creepy but this might be happening to us

  • btw this is very illegal in the U.S....hijacking anyone's traffic and especially revealing it to them afterwards...you are just asking for trouble

  • I loe The Real Hustle, it's really good! ;)

Watched this episode on BBC3 when it was on to! ;)

  • in some place like kansas this wouldnt be a problem because houses are miles apart

  • once your in the network, what software can you use to monitor other computers using the internet??

  • Another solution is to use powerline.

  • WPA is now possible to crack too, under 14 minutes or so. It has to use TKIP encryption however.. If your interest, search up the name Erik Tews.

WPA2 is suggested. So is a password with special characters, and a length of at least 8 characters..

  • why is she soo hot?

  • funny accent, the chick is hot though

  • So if you want to be secure, don't use the internet! Or make sure your connection is encrypted from your browser to the server on the other end, and make sure you trust that server!

  • Use ethernet instead.

  • Oh, yeah, like there's anything interesting you can do on a network that only connects to the computers in your house... I suppose you could invite your friends over and have a LAN party, but that's about it.

  • You connect to the internet with ethernet too.

  • Yes, but my point was that the internet is so insecure, it doesn't really matter much what you use to connect to it, because anybody can snoop on you once your packets go out over the net.

  • True but I was comparing it to a wireless connection.

  • LOL... if you use *WEP* on your wireless network, that's probably the most secure part of the internet your connection will go through. Consider that once your connection reaches the wireless router, it connects to your ISP's network, which in turn connects to the big cloud known as the internet. Your packets, with your IP address attached, go over all kinds of networks, most of them unencrypted. Along the way they can run through routers which grab sensitive info and forward it to hackers...

  • Great network tools at top of this page 147heaven[.]blogspot[.]com

  • hahaha lol the look on that guys face

  • "With the money I spent on my software"!!! You've paid for a WEP password?!

If it weren't for the Nintendo DS, WPA is definitely the way to go.

  • HELP! Sorry, but I'm a bit of a wireless noob. I just got a laptop and a router and i've been using it without a password or encryption. The reason for this is when I initially bought these items I put a WPA encryption with a password, but when my laptop attempted to connect, it said "Could not verify certificate to connect to the wireless network" Also keep it mind that I wasn't promted to input a password. Using Windows XP

    Thanks!

  • lol, big shit. WPA, is still easy to crack..

    Anon

    Peace

  • its harder, and if you have to have wireless, you mide as well have the best available protection, even if there is flaws.

  • that would be funny if he was like, "O we see you were looking at shit eating porn, and that you bought butt plug with scrotum stimulator on ebay, and that you said to a friend that you like being fist fucked while wearing a mini skirt".

  • Wow, it's like someone is looking over your shoulder. I wonder if there is a way to secure your computer even if you're not using wireless. I have a laptop that I use, but I need info. on use either WPA or WEPsetup.

  • yea you can use a firewall an anti virus software to protect your self

  • Now is it possible for someone on a laptop to access a wireless network thats about 15 miles away?

    Plz reply

  • Yes you can access wireless networks 15miles away using a marine antenna. Although the Near field and Far field has to be taken into consideration. Obstructions etc.

  • no its not

  • in france we have liveboxes you cant use there wireless internet unless you press the wireless association button on the back

  • all you have to do is put WPA on, and use MAC filters. then no one can view what your doing, or use your internet :)

  • almost, WPA2 AES CCMP, mac filtering is not a security counter measurement. Companies use WPA2 with a Radius Server TTLS tunnel with CRT. But for home use WPA2 TKIP and AES is kinda good, wpa is broken.

  • WPA PSK is hackable, although you are correct... WPA2 AES CCMP is the best. Mac filtering is useless as the client MAC address can be gained by sniffing raw signals on airodump-ng.

WPA2 does not give a "handshake", thats why you can't hack it. It will be hackable within the next few years, just like everything...it out dates.

  • unless its hacked. If you can, use WPA2-AES.

  • they used kismac to crack the wep and then probs cain&able to sniff lol

  • Just using WPA isn't enough, you need a strong passphrase otherwise it can be cracked just as easily as WEP.

WPA with a random 64 character passphrase including upper/lower case letters, numbers and special characters is uncrackable. Even with a brute force using GPU acceleration.

  • wpa/wpa2 is not secure.using elcomsofts lightning hash cracker,wpa/wpa2 is not a problem using your gpu power, you dont need a word list any more to match the password, let this mother rip,its pieace a piss.basicly make a command bat file and it hammers the crap out of the cap hash file.i have heard about 2 wpa2 captures being done in 3 hours.check out elcomsofts site and down load for free "lhc cracker",and take alook at their other programs aswell.the pdf cracker is well talked about :):):)

  • wep is easy, backtrack 3,get over 10,000 packets of data, aireplay to speed collection up,aircrack..hey presto..for wpa/wpa2 get a handshake etc with backtrack 3 save your .cap file to your windows desktop.right..if your comp has got nvidia graphics cards 8000 or above use elcomsofts lightning hash cracker,it runs through command prompt and uses the power of the gpu,s on the cards, its fucking quick,i have seen over 76.4 million hits a second with 2 of these, and you can crack a wpa/wpa2 hash

  • This is so lame...as sticky1254 put it...skiddies.Even with WPA encrypted passwords its still very crackable with a dictionary file and booting your labtop with the back track 3 linux distro.I've done it serveral times.WEP is weak is but WPA is not too far from it.Just need enough packets sniffed and one handshake from the network by knocking them off of it first. If you wanna know more about it send me a messege

  • My god! That ARP poisoning bastard!! He should try packet sniffing on my network. Thats if he can sort my actual wireless connection from the 150 fake ones I use to mask mine. If you have 2 AP's that use the same wireless signal they can ONLY use WEP to communicate between each other. What he is doing is illegal in the UK, if I was that bloke id sue his ass! He probably thanked him!

  • Its fine that's a show designed to warn the public.

  • INTERNET TOUGH GUYS. WATCH OUT. Fucking skiddies >_>.

  • Check out our Network Videos! Our new mockumentary is up, "Network Nature"!

  • This is the most ridiculous video ever... that white hat should be embarrassed to have even cooperated with that project... scaring the bejessus out of people, and then giving them false hope that they can protect themselves... thats more shameful than the black hat would be.

  • OH NO INTERNET GANGS.

  • mines is security-enabled with WPA

  • im sure more than 22% have broadband now.

  • ok ....i travel a lot, and i use whatever network i can log onto during those times, any idea how i can log onto a network but stop people from seeing what i do ?

  • hah, yeah right, nothing is secure ever... if someone wants on you computer they will get it.

  • You could connect via encrypted VPN - but again, it is not 100% secure.

  • to hekma.

No, as long as your on their network they can do as they wish, you can change your mac to stop it linking to you hardware if they ever decide to press charges after catching you but no, can't really stop them seeing you. To be honest most people wouldn't even notice your on there network unless your doing something really bandwidth heavy.

  • or login to your router and view the 'attacted devices/computer' page

or Start > Network and seee the connected computers.

  • whats the name of the building like a rocket , outside at 1:42

  • wpa isnt much better !

  • he should do them for breaking the wep in the first place.

What ofcom got to do with someone wep wireless,(The independent regulator in the uk).

  • do you ever watch reall hustle.

e.g. if they take ur money they give it back to you and tell you what happened.

so us people avoid getting scammed or tricked ourselves.

  • Very Good! GUYS SWITCH TO WPA AND USE A LONG PASSWORD such as jdfoejfsjldfjf or something like that. WPA cannot be cracked like WEP. You need a dictionary file and ive never seen a dictionary file with that in it

  • LOL. jdfoejfsjldfjf I just used that password to log into Babolatace's youtube and gmail account. This idiot used his real password in his youtube comment. Unbelievabe.

  • experto en seguridad... y usa windows :P

  • ROFL "22% of the British population have broadband Internet" xD

Korea has more than 90% broadband users...

Brits are still mostly on dialup I see.

    Interesting video tho.

  • This was done years ago.

  • Subtitle or caption please?

  • The only known way to crack WPA is to brute-force the password. The most successful way to do this is through a dictionary attack rather than going through every possible combination. As long as you use a long passsword that is made of random numbers, letters and special characters, there is no way someone can crack into your network unless they have a beowulf cluster of supercomputers.

  • thay catch the URL only

    you can try wireshark.exe

  • You've got to take this as a dramatization though. IMO there's no way they captured enough traffic from one network in a few minutes to crack WEP. It's much weaker than WPA, but you still need anywhere from several hours to days (more likely) to really do it. That one bit aside, it IS alarming how many people leave their home wireless networks wide open and never bother to change the default security settings.

  • And how do we know WPA is not crackable?

  • This is damn scary. I used to think ENCRYPTION actually meant something similar to like...safety. Eeeeeeeeek!!!

  • WPA can be easily cracked as well.

  • Those owners havnt got a password at all?

  • Hi, i have a mac and windows and $1200. and i want to be able to hack into any wifi network and gain access to the computers. also i wouldnt mind being able to do this using a portable device like the nokia n800 or n810. but i dnt mind . (i have read that the n800 doesnt support packet injection but do you know if the n810 does) thank you very much and i hope you reply asap. wish you a merry christmas

  • I-say, Cheer-e-oh old chaps

  • i want the watch what their doing thing

  • it can take hours to crack wep airsnort says

it needs 5 million IV's to crack wep , that

    could take hours or days.

  • with PSK you often only need 30-40000 IVS :)

  • prove it

  • that would be breaking the law stupid

  • Yes, I was speaking of WEP key cracking, which is how this guys network was secured. I was not speaking about WPA.

My username has nothing to do with my use of drugs. My username is MDMA4LIFE because as a professional in the field of neuropharmacology I find MDMA to be the most 'beautiful' chemical in its mechanism of action through locking the 4' position with a methoxy bridge. You can't just call me a crackhead because of my username, jeez

  • or you can get a mini-itx and mount it into a case. get some risers and you can fit up to 8, that ive seen, wireless cards. the more wireless cards actively sniffing the air can DRAMATICALLY increase the amount of IV's acquired, and therefore crack time.

  • i thought it took more then minutes to crack a WEP since you have to collect over 200k of IV's? Im not sure tho but i guess he did it.

  • you guy r fake!

  • yo zelga first of all i use wpa2 aes which is the best and the only way wpa2 can be cracked is

    with a weak password.

  • they say to use "wpa" but they cracked into that guy wpa router.

i know trojan can capture the victim screen. but how did they went from share wifi to victim screen?

  • ok my router supports wpa tkip as the strongest

encryption (also supports wep but fuck that) and

i use a 40 digit password with symbols numbers and letters but my router does not support wpa 2

but still is wpa tkip powerful enough?

  • 40 digits with symbols? Your neighbours must be really keen to get a connection to your network lol

  • fuck i think i have goprotection like a bank

    maybe even better.

  • caca

  • man peopel that steal internet like that are bastards lol

  • I really like these type video's.

  • this is off the subject, but that song in the backround is nice...

  • Does Anyone know the Name of the software they used?

  • good question ^^

But i'm sure they used Network Stumbler for location a wifi router and Ethereal to pick up some packages.

But i dont know how they crack the wep and pick up the ebay info exept they just traced it with eatherreal.

  • Wireless is totally safe if you have the proper security.always enable encryption, and NEVER really on the default wep key provided! Always enable wpa, preferably wpa-psk (pre shared key) there are different "strenghts" of wpa-psk depending on how long the pre shared key is. (continued)

  • What program did these people use to take screen shots of the victims screen?

  • I guess they didn't, what they did is sniffing the urls

  • awesome, some very nice stuff good job!

  • Omg I love The Real Hustle :o!

  • An eye opening clip. Thank you very much for uploading it. BTW, who sponsors these productions? They seem professional.

  • fuck british

  • what about mac address filtering

  • Although I use it myself; many ppl struggle to troubleshoot why they can't add their new computer to their router at a later date. Given that it's so damn easy to spoof too, a simple terminal command, it's not always worth it.

  • best way to prevent this is to not use wireless. And if someone parks a van in front of your house you put out your colt ar-15 and start shooting. Woops sorry I forgot England banned all guns except for the criminals they kept theirs.

  • what software did you use?

  • good question ^^

But i'm sure they used Network Stumbler for location a wifi router and Ethereal to pick up some packages.

But i dont know how they crack the wep and pick up the ebay info exept they just traced it with eatherreal.

  • I was walking with my nokia N80 and picked up 3 houses with wirless and 1 house with out a password didnt even bother to name his network just left it as netgear like howw lazy is that!!!

  • any wireless internet can be broken in to nowerdays

  • Yup i agree with this interesting

  • I've gone around my neighbor hood with my PSP and went on a few peoples wifi lol to check my email....people PASSWORD your wireless internet

  • Why, wasn't war chalking all the rage when wifi was first taking off? I leave my wifi open and have done for years. This TV clip is the Beeb or nanny state all about trying to put the responsibility for hacks onto the consumer, what rubish.

  • I think it'd be pretty secure to use WEP in conjunction with MAC address filtering. Only a determined hack0r will get in, then.

  • If someone did want to access your network, a brown paper bag over your wireless router is just as effective as WEP and MAC address filtering. WEP can now be easily broken, whilst MAC addresses are sent in the clear and can be read, and as MAC addresses can be spoofed very simple these days.

True WEP and MAC filtering will deter the average casual wireless user, but wouldn't stop someone trying to get in.

Use WPA to be more secure.

  • Great prog on TV tells you how to break the law ;)

  • What's the heck's a "wireless rooter?"

  • lol

  • american twat

  • Enlgish fag

  • lol "ROOTER"!!, anywayz let me waste my time explaining to him what's a Wireless ROOTer (not ROUTER). A wireless ROOTER is simply the ability to SSH to your server wirelessly with the purpose of gaining ROOT access, therefore you gained ROOT access wirelessly. NOTE: Your server must have a wireless adapter for you to be able to establish that adhoc connection.

  • Set up your network and then set up your router so it doesn't broadcast itself, they can't hack you if they can't see you!

  • Not True, With Certain Software with a linux distro or Cain an ??? for windows I can see your SSID...

  • No, this is for real. WEP encryption is very weak, and can be cracked in minutes, 10 at most. WPA is better, but can also be craked. Use WPA-2 with AES and TKIP is possible - most modern routers (firmwar upgraded) support it, if you also have the relevant OS updates.

  • it was not illegal because it was a setup, gezzzzz

  • Wow they know nothing about networks. The fact that they "bought" software is a dead give away. ATM I can see 9 APs from my bed room. Also what they just did was illegal. (Well here in the states anyways.) No not WPA what will we ever do?

  • man come hack my shit. i dont care

  • He got prang when the guys knocked at his door and presented the printed pages that he was surfing..he must of thought its some sort of CID officers lol..

  • Jessica Jane Clement is a hottie... Sometimes. Although, I guess she was brought into TRH just because she is a fucking hotty!

Anyway, The Real Hustle is THE SHIT!

  • worst fake ever

  • lol what if he had been on porn and his wife seen!

  • that would be funny lol

  • WARDRIVERS FTW

  • This is all hype.

  • This guy sounds like Ali G. Respek.

  • I'm glad they posted a way to prevent this.

  • Yep, all hackable. This is actually propaganda to scare everyone into buying "security software", but there's no such thing. I'll share my computer with the whole neighborhood, I don't care.

  • Then you will go to jail lol. You can be framed and put to jail. If osmeone hacked your WEP/WPA/PSK etc they could download kiddie porn to your computer and you will get the blame. You will also lose your job. So CARE!..dont use wireless routers, use ethernet.

  • lol sure... I steal someones... your dumb

  • cdenver: Idiot, read the news. Last year the RIAA tried to sue a guy who they claimed downloaded mp3s onto his desktop through his WiFi. He made the case that his WiFi was open and unprotected (No Password, even) and he won the case. FACT. Now you look stupid, go home.

  • Yeh yeh yeh 'some guy'? SOME?

If that was the case perverts would be using wireless laptops and accessing their own wireless network and pulishing perverted pr0n across the internet, then claim it wasnt them and some other guy did it. And before you ask you can chance your MAC address and spoff that it was...you dont know comptuer security do you?

  • "propaganda to scare everyone into buying "security software""

Why buy the software when u get everything as a freeware o.0

U only have to know where u get them ;)

  • all hackable....dont kid yourself.

  • lol. i hope the guy who lives abovwe my sister doesn't see this, or i will have to buy my sister a new router. her's broke, but the guy above uses one without ANY protection. it's the most wide open network EVER. i hope the guy is old. lol.

  • WPA looooooooool

    WPA2 + MAC adress cracked within 3mins

and im not even god at this

  • OMG HAX!!! SOME1 STOLED MY INTERNETS

  • Wow, you should get in a time machine and take this video back to 1998 when this was news.

  • DUDE THAT CHICK IS HOT

  • She is VERY hott! look for more of her videos "real hustle"
