I dind't think he was over-weight looking in any of his films, I think it was the last couple of yrs of his life when it showed but apart from that he looks good enough to me, i'd take him anyway I could get him, lol, long live the king.
True, even in this scene when he was a bit plump; so, perhaps you see loving spirit of Elvis Presley, not just outer looks. He had difficulty with weight all his life, inherited from his mother. In this wonderful scene he was indeed overweight, not thin and still wonderful boy.
I do not smoke. I admire Elvis Presley as much, likely more, than anybody you will meet. I will never speak or write unkindly about Elvis. He is a wonderful boy. He stuggled with weight most of his life. It was genetic and unavoidable. His mother was thin when young then became very plumb as she aged. I was led here from "related videos" while viewing another "Wild In The Country" video and this is truly the most representative of a true LOVE scene seen by these eyes in all my many years. Let me say it this way: prior to this experience I had not seen such a real scene depicting tender, gentle, sensuous, REAL loving. This beautiful moment demonstrates the uniqueness of how Elvis Presley delivers a song story - "E"motion.
In my humble opinion this movie ranked up there with King Creole as his two best acting performances. Tuesday Weld, Hope Lang, and Elvis created a palpable sexual tension. Also Red West played Elvis's brother in the film.
That is such an amazing clip. I've always liked this song and movie so very much. Elvis will always be the king. I'm so very honored to be an avid Elvis collector. Thank you so very much for posting this video, 5 Stars.
