@TheBrandooooon My awesome list: 1A) Chick Hearn, 1B) nonplayerzealot4, 2) Jack Kennedy, 3) Bill Clinton, 4) Jack Nicholson, 5) Nick Van Exel. Thoughts???
Great upload. What a fantastic stadium. It looked better when the floor was all yellow but still a great place. Glen Rice really used to be special in Charlotte. I think he really got discouraged when Michael Jordan and the Bulls showed them they just weren't at their level. He had a point in his career where he could barely touch the rim, it was all nothing but net. It's funny how quickly things change.
Really? It led to a championship. You couldn't play Eddie AND Kobe together...and neither was suited to be a bench guy. Sam Perkins for Benoit Benjamin and the rights to young, scrub Doug Christie was much worse than that.
I was at this game....my armrest actually broke off and I wanted to take it along as a memento, but thought better of it. Couldn't do that to the Forum.
Thanks for the informative comments in the description, NPZ. Lol @ Chick sticking up for his Lakers. "NOW what do you people think?" I recall he also called out the Mike Penberthy haters during a game vs Denver in November, 2001.
@baldheadkid I wouldn't doubt that he was talking to Rice before the game and he probably said he was going to come out gunning. Looks like the team was deliberately looking for him, I see both Kobe and Shaq giving up the ball a little quicker than they usually did. ;-)
rice was on the downside of his career from this season on. he played good enough as a starter on the 2000 championship season, but he didn't want to be the 3rd wheel behind shaq and kobe. you saw how sucky he was once he played for the knicks.
I remember when the Lakers got rice, I was real happy but I really liked eddie jones. Anyways a great video again, do you happen to have the first game at staples center?
