In post-13th century it had been ONLY Greeks who used the term and even Turks used the term only for Greeks. Romanians who used their similar term (Roumanii) they used it linguistically - they did not aspire to Rome as their origin or something. When King Otto for the very first time stepped the Greek ground, he was surprised because he did not find any trace of Greeks. Instead of that he found Turks and Albanians Muslims and Orthodox. Someone has told the king that they are Albanians not Greeks, but they are loyal to the authorities and it is easy to ruling them. @tripleMboy I mean to show in a video some marbles or something that ancient Macedons wrote..Also most of these words are came from Greeks..δομα(house,building),περι(round of something),επιπλεων(floating),αλας(salt),αγγελος(messenger),εαυτος(self),ηρωας(heroe),ανεστη(stand up),οινος(wine) and much more,all of these words are ancient Greeks and we use them today too,ancient Macedonians is a Greek language,it is a Greek dialect..Crete has it's own dialect,Pelloponesos it's own etc..
